The facility has been continually improving including recently enhancing their dining experience and life-enrichment activities as well as subtle upgrades to the living environment. In addition to the staff and living quarters, Autumn House also has a nice exterior environment with a gazebo and patio overlooking the south pond, a west deck overlooking the west pond and waterfall, a central patio off the cafe, a wooded \"back yard\", and a quarter-mile walking path past the woods and encircling the entire building. The other residents have also been friendly, kind and supportive to mom offering help and friendly interaction with mom. \n\n Organized activities are frequent and enjoyable. In warm weather mom loves sitting outside on one of the patios or, more frequently these days, on the back deck overlooking the back pond. \n\n I find the support staff and the nursing office to be pleasant, caring and responsive to my inquiries and concerns. \n\n Samaritas is a lovely place for both independent seniors and those who need more assistance. In all, mom is very pleased with her living situation. I encourage you to give Samaritas a close look if you are shopping for an elderly-friendly place to live. Autumn House of Bloomfield is an independent and assisted living community in the heart of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The beauty, serenity and safety of our property is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of an active part of Bloomfield filled with popular restaurants, boutiques, markets, and entertainment. <br>Our community celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. We are owned by Cardinal Senior Management in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We have a hands-on ownership team who care deeply about our residents. All decisions are driven by a passion for making the lives of seniors better. <br>We foster an environment where physical, mental, and spiritual wellness is supported for our residents. In addition, we offer a varied activities calendar that includes live entertainment, educational programs, group outings, arts, crafts, and games, to name a few. <br>Individualized and focused care is available as our residents' needs change provided by our care team who are all employees, not a 3rd party provider. These services can be provided in our independent living apartments which enables couples to stay together and allows residents the comfort of aging in place. Outside health care providers are regularly in the building and available to all residents. These providers include physician services, physical and occupational therapists, a visiting dentist, podiatrist, and audiologist.<br>Our community is enclosed and has only 2 floors. Our apartments are spacious, with a variety of one- and two-bedroom styles and include washers and dryers. Our pricing plans are all inclusive and cover meals, utilities, cable TV, Wi-Fi, housekeeping, transportation, routine maintenance, activities, covered car ports and additional storage space if needed. Our building is staffed 24 hours a day.
