My Mom lived here for 9 (fun) years!
If you are contemplating a new home at Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby, I think you are making a smart choice. My Mom moved in [date removed]. The food is excellent, the staff were amazing, the other residents were awesome and there was so many fun things to do. My mom LOVED the Karaoke! (I think she always wanted to be a singer and she was able to be in the spot light every week with Karaoke) When we were searching for a place for my mom I was skeptical because the price was so much less than others. I surely thought it was a mistake however, it wasn't at all. I am so grateful to everyone for helping with her quality of life which was way about excellent! My mom just passed away at the age of 95 and her last years were very eventful and fun due to PRV of Shelby. The director and her assistant were there prior to my mom and many other staff were working at the facility for years which is not very common these days in a lot of businesses. Thank you so much!! I am forever grateful!

Great facility and happy people
The rooms are very nice as well as the entire facility. Cleanliness is first rate. The staff is very helpful and caring. There are lots of activities for the residents to enjoy. Dining service is good with plenty of meal variety. Pine Ridge is overall a very happy and upbeat place for the residents.

Great Place For Seniors
I went to the Open House at Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby Township. It was fantastic. The staff was friendly, informative and welcoming. Other residents appeared very happy. I was very impressed with Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby Township. I highly recommend it.

Although there have been times when I was not satisfied with the dining experience, management has made great strides to improve menus, culinary and waitstaff . My overall experience is great. Many social activities, bus service to doctor appointments and shopping. Great security. Best place for me

A great place for my mom a second time.
My mom wanted to give up her home for senior living in 2019. She was hoping to move into a place where a friend was living. Sadly that friend passed away soon after she moved. The facility offered activity choices that she could pick and choose what suited her. The staff is warm and caring. Always encouraging her to be a part of the community. With Covid hitting early in 2020 things were a struggle for all senior facilities. By 2022 her health was failing and had to give up her apartment. She was placed into an assisted living facility, that she hated. Fortunately, that spurred her on to getting stronger to move back to Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby after 5 months. The staff helped me, again, to find the apartment that best suited her needs and welcomed her back as if she was never gone. Maintenance quickly takes care of any repairs. The entire staff is awesome. Now, at 99 years of age she is strong and loves living independently with new friends and enjoying activities of her choosing.

A great facility worth a look
Clean, safe, friendly helpful staff, good community feel, friendly residents, and fun activities.
The value for the money would be a 5 if the food situation was more consistent and they actually delivered on the additional food options from the menu. Meal options of a daily specials and alternate items off a menu were represented to us as being available when we decided to move to Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby. Nearly half the time, or more often than that, when requesting items off the menu rather than choosing the special we are told: Sorry, we are short staffed in the kitchen, we can do the special, or there is soup, but the chef can't handle any of the alternate menu items. This is not at all what we were told when visiting, and again, this happens more often than not.
