Mom had a great experience here
Mom was here for 7 months until she passed away. I felt she received very good care; the facility is kept clean; the meals were very good. Her caregivers treated her with dignity and respect throughout her steady decline. She and I became very close to several of the caregivers and activity managers.

It's a nice place. They take good care of my parents but you need to check on them frequently. Also, the food is so so and the choices are limited especially if you're trying to eat Mediterranean style food.

Property has gone downhill from years ago
My parents loved this place in the beginning. It’s lovely, original manager years ago was awesome. Activity director is great and loved by many, she is always upbeat and giving hugs to guests as well as residents . Lots of activities. Food is so so but has its good days, aids come and go but there were a couple awesome ones but there is usually a shortage. Current mgm is barely seen and if you do, is not pleasant but condescending to guests and residents. Have seen residents in wheelchairs pushing themselves back to their room from meals while mgm just watched, dining room help would assist. Nurse sent my family member to hospital and told family after the fact, but we found our parent after calling 911 operator and close hospitals. Nurse is on shift but not full time. They did kept them safe during Covid. Our parents were removed for a better place. If considering here, ask a lot of questions. Had several rate increases during a year staying it for for aids.

Great care in a friendly environment.
Anthology of Plano is a very nice place, and we've had a good experience there. Mom has gotten connected with some new friends. And she is getting great care!

Definitely recommend
My loved one is a resident at this facility. The staff is really nice and very helpful. The food needs some work, per my loved one. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends!

Great for most, not for all
The positive is that it is a beautiful facility with a lot of activities. It's for lower level care. Unfortunately, with my dad's dementia he wasn't taking advantage of everything. I feel like communication was poor with families.

Community Tour
I really liked Anthology of Plano a lot. However, the downside was I had called ahead before touring, and they they told me they took residents for sliding scale insulin. We ended up taking the whole tour, and at the end, the nurse said they were not accepting patients with sliding scale insulin needs. So we had a bit of a false start.
Otherwise, I would have looked at them more seriously.

Tour of Anthology
I toured Anthology of Plano and it was very nice, but also very sterile. It was almost like a big corporation would run it. Our tour guide kind of rushed us through a bit; and the secretary was very matter-of-factly. We had to come in and sit in a certain place, it was not very welcoming. They had a beautiful facility, but we chose another community because of the corporate-y feeling here.

a nice place for dad
Overall we have been very pleased we have nothing but good things to say. When it comes to the care we are happy and they have him on a god schedule. He says the food is excellent. Even thought he does not participate in the they have plenty of different things going on during the days.

Our family had an in person tour and the staff were very friendly and helpful on the tour but they only had a one bedroom available and we wanted something bigger.

a peaceful place to be
We were very impressed from the moment we had our tour with Anthology, they had a welcome board for us and just made us feel very comfortable. The community is very clean, and on the newer scale of properties in the area. It is more modern with lots of natural light making it feel very inviting. The few holidays our loved one has experienced there - everything is very well decorated. They have a ton of activities, and it is in a great location. A very safe and nice neighborhood. It is expensive, but it is worth it and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Nice Place, But a Little Overpriced
My loved one is safe here at Anthology of Plano. However, I am still being an advocate for my loved one. The administrative team is less than responsive when it comes to answering questions or addressing concerns the family has.
My loved one doesn't care for the food.

Worst place I have lived. Food tasteless, very small portions, no refills, often run out of food before all residents arrive. High turnover staff. Many indifferent to comments, criticism, and suggestions. I would never recommend to others.

the rooms and overall layout of the community would be a five out of five, and we would recommend it to others. While our loved one was there she had a few hospitalizations so she wasn't there all that long but overall it was a good option. One significant issue we had was they were supposed to check on her occasionally, and leading up to one of her hospitalizations she was feeling significantly down and no one noticed which was an issue.

You need to tour this facility and make sure you there to see activities and the atmosphere. The rooms were great and the food was so-so. The communication between the staff and the family was not good.
The facility is beautiful, and I would recommend this facility to others.
