Welcoming Community
The community seemed more diverse when we visited than others. The tile floors vs. carpet made it easier to ambulate the halls as well. I wish more weekend activities occurred maybe having a part-time event planner and/or partnering with a non-profit to host activities would be helpful.

IF I could give the meals and dining a 0 I would. The food is horrible. I don't know how they actually serve some of the meals they do. However, I would recommend this community to other families.

Review for Independence Village of Olde Raleigh
Thank you for reaching out to me. When I opted to leave Raleigh and return to Charlotte I purposely left or donated many many items to other residents in need at Olde Raleigh. Such things as new in the box pots and pans, utensils, towels glasses and much more that I did not think I would need again. This was done along with the understanding that my mail would be held for me. My mail and parcels were to be forwarded as soon as i called with my new address. Not only was this not done but I did not even have a mail box to retrieve mail while there. Also as i exited with a check in hand to give them, management literally yelled out to me or called me "you are nothing but a free loader ". This person was always rude to clients and ill-mannered. I would never speak to people the way I overheard this person talk and it was reprehensible. I was very kind to leave items for others who were in need and they held my mail which is illegal. To this day I am missing packages that were sent to me and I am saddened by how persons older and less communicative than I are getting on. So I have very little positive to say about Olde Raleigh at this point. Management should be ashamed of itself!

Living there now.
The manager talked rudely to me today when I complained about 2 different RATS in my apartment when I went to her office and she closed her door in my face. She later came to my room and demanded I give back the two chairs she said I took 5 years ago. I wasn't aware that I had taken the 2 chairs because I was moved into this room after the prior apartment wall continued to leak water and my daughter confronted her with the water damaging the walls. I have been here over 5 years and today is the first time I have complained to her. Many times I have wanted but I listen to the others tell of their problems with her. The dining room 5 yrs. ago was always full and some waiting to be served. Today about 70% is full. There are many vacant units here. I would not suggest coming here. You start off with a price and after you get here without signed documents they increase I am 82 & major health issues. Today I have been given14 days' notice because I am a PROBLEM.

I am sooo appreciative to you for finding a WONDERFUL place for my sister to live!!! EVERYTHING gets a 5!!! Everyone was friendly. You immediately contacted my sister or me if there was an issue. You called for outside help if there was an issue. My sister was happy there. She enjoyed the food. There were great activities for the residents.

A Place for Mom has scored Independence Village of Olde Raleigh 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
