My first impressions were the fully mature landscaping and walking path around the buildings. Very smooth, nice and shady. The slightly aged exterior was already slated for a new roof and paint job which turned out beautifully. The interior was always clean and seasonally decorated. Being located adjacent to the International Balloon Fiesta made for exciting mornings in October. But these are only cosmetics. The real heart of the facility was the amazing leadership and caregiver staff. The engaging activities kept mom out of her room most of the time. Every one of the staff always greeted my mother by name and with love and respect. When providing her care, they were always compassionate and loving. It takes a very special skill-set and heart to do this type of work and all, I repeat, all of the staff performed their jobs like they were caring for there own loved ones.
