My mom was previously a resident at The Pavilion. The staff was so kind and compassionate throughout my mom's time there. Not only to my mom, but to us as well. They were so loving to my mom in the short time that she was there. They treated her like you would a family member.

Not good for memory care
Unfortunately, my family friends are struggling with the care that is being provided at The Pavilion. Many times we have visited and the meals appear as though they are serving middle school students. Some of the residents looked as though their hair was not washed or combed. My friends mother was always slumped on the couch in front of a TV. Activities are next to nothing. They are either sitting alone or wandering aimlessly around. Again, the activities that I did see only are appropriate for someone who is physically able. What about those who aren't? No one is sitting, talking or singing with them. The care staff are very sweet and friendly. They try so hard, but sadly they are always understaffed. My best friend is looking into another facility. I have supported her through lost laundry and bedding, damaged clothing, missing items and her mother's room not being cleaned properly. Pavilion falls short. Don't be fooled.

Expectations not meant
It is a very very beautiful facility, but the main problem was the staffing. There was absolutely no staffing, it made communication difficult which made us nervous and uneasy about leaving her there alone. We just had high hopes.

My wish for mommy...
The Pavillion at El Dorado Hills is exactly the home I didn’t think I would ever find for my best friend...my mother! From the very beginning and continually throughout these trying times they have kept in constant touch with me about mommy’s emotional and physical well being. I highly recommend this “home” away from home for anyone needing the best care possible.

A Place for Mom has scored The Pavilion at El Dorado Hills 6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
