Solstice Senior Living - Thumbs Up
[name removed] and team at Solstice Senior Living are great. They are caring, watchful, and took good care of our mom. We worried about how Mom would adjust to having moved from out of state. She quickly adjusted to her large, updated apartment, as well as to daily life at Solstice. They paired her up with a “buddy” so that she would make friends and learn her way around easily. Mom adjusted quickly and enjoyed being there, and we liked visiting her. There was a good balance of activities to keep residents entertained, as well as enough free time. All the residents and staff are happy and kind. We recently had to move Mom, but we are so grateful for the good times and good friends she enjoyed while living at Solstice.

Solstice Senior Living is the best!
My mother-in-law moved from another state to Santa Rosa in [date removed]. Our family was looking for a senior residence with activities and meals included at an affordable price. Solstice Senior Living turned out to be the perfect place! We helped Mom move into a very roomy one bedroom apartment and she began to enjoy the arts and crafts programs, bingo, movies, word games, trivia contests, and so much more. Chef [name removed] provides nutritious and delicious meals as well. The facility is located on a hill surrounded by vineyards and wine country views. The executive director, [name removed], and his staff provide a safe and comfortable senior environment, and our family was welcome to visit and share meals any time. The separate caregiving company, which is onsite, provided our Mom with the levels of care she needed, also at an affordable price. 5 Stars for Solstice!!

Friendly and welcoming Staff and Residents.
We are very happy with Solstice. Staff and residents seem to get along and have lots of activities. Food is good. Absolutely! We spent four months looking in the Santa Rosa area and this was by far the best.

Review for Solstice Senior Living at Santa Rosa
I would definitely recommend this to a friend or even a stranger I have recommended them to people who come into my tasting room.The rooms have been remodeled and the floor and carpets are renewed every time someone moves out. The staff and the grounds are very nice. It is one of the more reasonably priced facilities at its level In California or maybe even Oregon and Arizona also.

Our experience at Solstice
The food is bad and their system for dining and meal ordering is very ridged and complex for elderly people to learn. Most offerings in the building are geared to early risers. New residents are supposed to be assigned a buddy for an orientation but that did not happen in our case. Overall it is a friendly building with beautiful views. We chose it based on it being closer to family than other options.

Solstice Senior Living review
Overall experience has been very accommodating. When it comes to the cleanliness - deferred maintenance detracts. All of the staff members are friendly. I'm independent but many with walkers and some scooters. Counted 13 helper's names on mother's day card from [name removed] home care. The meals set time sometimes takes an hour to get the entrée. When it comes to the activities there is no bus driver, only one lunch trip. Good selection of games for shut-ins. It is a good value compared to other month to month in the area. I believe I made a good choice moving here.

Checked out 30 places and this was the right spot!
My 101 year old mother decided that she no longer wanted to stay in her home alone. She moved and has found new friends and staff that keep her engaged in social and physical activities. We checked out almost every facility around Santa Rose and this one exceeded our needs and expations.

Solstice Shines Brightly
It has been a wonderful help to me and has taken a big load off of my shoulders. We procrastinated for a long time before making the decision, and I wish we had not done that. It has been such a good thing for our family. They made the transition from home to independent living very easy. The sense of community among the residents is wonderful. The staff has been amazing, especially Catherine. They're taking very good care of our family and have been wonderful to us. It's an amazing value for the cost, and we've been very happy with them.

Solstice is Great
I love it here. The staff have been friendly, helpful, and my loved one has been doing fabulous here. My loved one was able to fit right in with the community.
My loved one is enjoying the food. The portion sizes are good and are tailored towards the senior appetites. The services can be slow in the dining room; however, this might encourage a little more socialization with the residents.
Movies, walking path in the hallways, and more are available activities for the residents to choose from.

we highly recommend it
Our loved ones apartment is so cute, it is perfect for her and her kittens. We wish we would of found Solstice much sooner so our loved one could really experience it all in better health since right now she is back and forth from the hospital. The meals are good but the dining service at times can be slow. They do have a ton of activities which is amazing. Overall she is happy there and really liked it.

Positive Transition to Senior Independent Living
There seems to be a little bit of staff turnover. The art room, doesn't have staff member in it to run the course. The marketing director to General Manager, [name removed], is personable and takes an interest into each resident. [name removed] provided an excellent first tour, and remember the special items my loved one wanted to be in their room. Overall, the staff is personable.
There is a shuttle and town cars available for the residents to use. There is a nice nature path around the grounds of the community. The community is beautiful inside and out.
There is a wide variety of food for the residents to choose from. My loved one enjoys the meals. The meals I have been lucky to have has been wonderful!
There are activities available for the residents such as poker nights, movies, and more for the residents to choose from.
The fees are comparable for the industry.

Lovely Staff!!
My mother has recently made the move into this community and I have no complaints of how things are going for her. She is loving all of the fun activities and has made lots of friends with the other residents. The staff have been lovely to work with and I am comfortable with the care she is being provided with. The only improvement they need is the breakfast. She is not a fan of the eggs and would like a bigger variety to choose from.

We're on the final approach
We've visited several times and have signed a lease for a fabulous 2 bedroom apartment, but haven't moved in yet. So our review is mostly prospective heavily tempered by our excitement in getting ready to make the move. Our excitement at getting ready to move is at fever pitch and we're still getting ready to move from our coast side home and putting down our roots at Vineyard Commons.
We're severely challenged by a houseful of stuff that needs to be adopted by our children, and decisions regarding the disposition of our accumulated 'stuff' of the last 46 years of marriage. As daunting as that may seem, we're looking forward to winnowing our accumulations and transferring our base of operations to the apartment.

facility has a welcoming feel to it
My father is not in assisted living, he's in independent living so he does not receive any care services. My father does not participate in any activities but they offer tons of activities. What I like the most is that in most places they have an odor and smell funny. This facility has a welcoming feel to it and it feels like you're in a hotel.
