Excellent facility
Preston Point is an excellent facility, we have been here one year and find the staff and all employees to be top notch in every way. Amazing chef with creative and delicious meals, and all day dining. We would only think of leaving here if health issues required.

Excellent facility

The staff and residents are very welcoming
My mom has acclimated into her new home quickly with the help of the caring staff and her new neighbors. Everyone seems to enjoy living here and I contribute this to the staff that seems to be dedicated to making their lives comfortable and secure.

Great location for what we were looking for. The renovation was done very well, apt looked brand new. Excited for the front lobby to be finished. Cleaning, a nurse and dining hours were key as well.

A Great Place for Mom (or Dad or any loved one)
My family and loved one have had a good experience with the community. The staff is experienced, supportive, professional, and helpful to the residents and the families. There are meals and activities to assist with the socialization of the residents with each other. Overall, this is an excellent community and we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

Our Family Rests Easier
Of the many facilities that we saw, we found not only the staff but also the residents the most friendly at Preston Pointe. In an industry that often has less than favorable reviews, I can not say enough good things about this facility. We were very impressed with the length of employment of many of the staff members. This told us that they treat their people well and therefore the staff are happy and proud to work there. The facility was undergoing some updating while we were touring and the measures taken to keep the facility clean and residents safe were impressive. Food was a big issue for us and Preston Pointe had us for lunch the first day that we toured. We visited the facility several times and the consistency of categories #1 through #7 above were notable. As for the value for the money, Preston Pointe could not be beat. It was the lowest cost per month facility. No astronomical buy-ins, no spend down meals, great meal time flexibility. We are very happy with our choice.

The activities are awesome! There's always something to participate in. There's lots of variety of food. The renovations are lovely. And most of all, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Great facility
They have a very nice culture here. The people are just so friendly and genuine, they are kind and caring and they go out of their way to satisfy the residents. It is like the Chick- Fil- A of retirement communities. The food is very good, but they are having a lot of issues with maintaining good wait staff. They are doing the best they can and working on it, but it is an issue. We would recommend Preston Pointe to others looking and already have - we just have the caveat about the shortage of wait staff.

Better than expected
This facility is great! It's been such a great experience for mom. She feels at home and is completely happy with where she is. The meals are good quality and they offer a good variety. The dining is restaurant style versus buffet style, which she really likes. They have a really nice outside area for the residents. Communication with the family is good. They post a weekly flier on their doors which lists planned activities and the menu. Her suite is close to the elevator and common areas, which was important to us. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

watch out for the sales pitch
preston pointe is currently under new management. this used to be a family owned community (which we really liked), but it has now turned into a corporation. a lot of their previous staff have left and we dislike that because there was one nurse in particular that we looked forward to working with. during our tour we noticed that the guide tried pressuring us into renting a certain apartment under the guise that it was the last one available and would be rented out soon if we did not take the opportunity. it wasn't until after we moved in that we learned the truth - they had a lot of availability and very similar units that were vacant. i've also learned of their many maintenance issues and it is concerning that there is no backup generator. i do feel that they sold us on a lot of things that turned out to not be the case. there has not been a lot of effort or care after we moved our loved one in. there was no help during the move in process, they triple booked that time slot so our movers had to use the staircase going up and down several flights because the only two elevators were unavailable. thankfully we had great movers who were understanding and still agreed to help us - otherwise, it could have taken us all day.
i understand that they are going through a lot of struggles with the recent staffing changes, so i am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. they do need to improve on their communication skills, and hopefully things will get better once those changes are settled.

A really nice place to live
I moved to Preston Pointe 8 months ago.. I was living in Cary earlier, but I’m originally from Long Island.
I really enjoy the community feeling here. I have met a group of friends and we all have dinner together each night. The staff and residents are very friendly and there are a variety of activities daily. I really enjoy chair yoga.

Good Place To Retire
We have been a resident of Preston Pointe since November, 2021. We are satisfied with our choice of our retirement home.
The food at Preston Pointe is very good with good choices at each meal. We like the continuous dining experience.
