Summer Stay
I can’t really tell you about the stay because I don’t remember it. Therefore, I’ve asked my wife to assist.
My husband seemed to think he had been kidnapped, possibly because he didn’t know any other words to express himself. He was glad to see me when I returned to get him, he was clean, appeared well fed and well rested, and was eager to go home. The staff was friendly and seemed competent. However, there were a few things I was unaware of before placing him for 10 day respite, the main one being that they do not administer vitamins or supplements unless they are listed on the form from his doctor. I don’t know how to rate the food, activities, interactions between staff and my husband as I was not there to witness and he has no memory of the stay.

Very happy!
I have been so happy with the care my mom is receiving at Desert Hills Memory Care! The staff is fabulous. Everyone is so kind and caring. They know the residents by name and are always very friendly and upbeat! It takes very special people to do these jobs and Desert Hills has managed to find a lot of them! Any questions or concerns I might have are promptly addressed and they go out of their way to accommodate any requests I may have! My constant stress has been relieved knowing that my mom is being cared for by these angels!

Better than most for the cost.
For the most part they took care of him but always a little leery about the fact that we couldn't just go in as if he wasn't dressed or they didn't know where he was at when we came to visit. I distinctively felt they had to prep him for us most of the time. The front office staff were always very upbeat and helpful.
The facility usually seem to be neat and clean as best they could with elderly living inside.
Again the staff in general is very kind and understanding however they seem to be overworked and not enough to be taken care of the amount of people in the facility.
They did everything they were supposed to do but it seems rather odd the amount of times he ended up going to the hospital in the ER for odd things. Items put away for ease, like photographs so they wouldn't have to dust them, expensive shoes missing slippers stolen things like that as well.
No impression either way he seemed to like the food it okay and didn't complain.
I think they had some crafts every once in awhile but not really a whole lot going on.
For the amount of care given and the space allocated with a shared room we paid $[removed] which I felt was a bit high.
Don't put anything of value there; every item must be labeled and a photograph taken would be good.

Wonderful and Worth It.
Desert Hills was the blessing in a hard situation. Making the choice to place my mother into a memory care facility was the hardest decision that I have ever had to make. But Desert Hills truly made the process easy and smooth. They helped me get through all the hoops of gathering documents from the doctor. Once my mom was there we saw and immediate improvement in her, she was socializing again, joining in and doing activities, visits started to go well again with family. The communication from the facility with myself has been amazing and made me feel so much more at ease with everything. I would recommend Desert Hills to anyone looking for a good memory care. Especially because it is only a memory care facility. Their staff has been wonderful and treat my mother like family.

My family and loved one have had a great experience with the community. The staff are patient, kind, and caring. Everyone is friendly. The staff are able to answer the family's questions and provide us updates on our loved one. There are meals and activities provided for the residents to engage with each other. Overall it is a community we would recommend to others.

Clean, private, secure, and health-conscious place.
The staff were very caring. At mealtimes, they were all hands on deck, which was vital when my loved one had a choking incident. They recognized it right away and were able to do the Heimlich maneuver. And they had her taken to the hospital afterward to make sure nothing was broken. I appreciated their conscientious regarding her care. It was also a very clean facility - I always saw people cleaning.

Amazingly caring and knowledgeable staff
My father came to Desert Hills from another Memory Care community. He needed more care than they could provide. The staff at Desert Hills are truly wonderful. They are extremely knowledgeable about how to care for those with Dementia. I would highly recommend their memory care community to anyone looking for excellent care for their loved one.

Desert Mills Memory Care review
Our loved one seems to be happy here, he is enjoying the means and staff. We do really like all the staff members they are very friendly. They do have activities for the residents there but since he is on the memory care side the activities are like arts and crafts. Overall it is a good community but we have had some issues with some of our loved ones items go missing.

Thankful for the Education and Support Group
I have been personally working in the industry for 5+ years. I have been thankful that this community offers an education and connection group for families with loved ones who suffer with Alzheimer’s and dementia. I regularly refer my personal clients and families to this facility for the support group. Not only does it give them the opportunity to build relationships in the community and see there are other people with the same and or similar situation in their own home.

A community of compassion, empathy, love and knowledge
As a hospice provider in the Hemet area, we get to see hands first the compassionate care Desert Hills employees provide to our hospice patients and to their residents. It truly is comforting knowing our hospice patients are being taken care with such knowledge, compassion, empathy and love! Desert Hills Memory Care not only cares for their residents but the leaders care for their staff! The staff are always welcoming and always have smiles on their faces. And that’s exactly what the residents need; Happy people taking care of them. So thankful we have Desert Hills in the Hemet community to help serve the dementia/Alzheimer’s population!

A caring center in our family time of need
Our family has had a very tough year due to my wife's condition with Huntingdon disease. After visiting over 10 local care facilities, most would not take a person with HD under their care. Desert Hills memory care center was our last visit. After meeting the director and some of the staff, I knew that desert Hills would be the place I could trust for the care of my loving wife. Desert Hills has been a blessing in our time of need and all the staff have been so caring and loving to my wife. They have given our family a chance to heal and live again. I am thankful for the incredible staff and individuals who have one of the toughest jobs in caring for our loved ones now in their time of needs. Kind, compassionate, caring
The staff at Desert Hills Memory Care, whether it be the Executive Director, or individual caregivers, food service, maintenance, or nursing staff, they are all, every one of them, knowledgeable, caring and attentive.
Care plans are thorough, activities are varied and all residents are included. The community is clean, well staffed and organized.

Our family had an in person tour and the people were helpful and the manager was super nice. They did some follow up which we appreciated and they had a really nice big outdoor area for the residents, but we just did not like how our loved one would have to go down the hall if they needed to use the restrooms'.

Happy with the experinece
Overall our experience has been pretty good. He is really happy here and really enjoying the activities provided, they are making him feel comfortable and like it is home. There is very limited times that you are able to go visit your loved ones which is hard since I work. The price is expensive, but to me it is worth it.
