Great experience, terrific staff, friendly environment and great move in deal! Lovely, well maintained property.
I rated quality of care a 3 because I wasn't sure what you mean.
I rated quality of food a 3 because my parents haven't participated in any of the food events yet.
[name removed] was my main contact person. She was terrific. My only contact with the facility staff has been with maintenance and installing safety equipment in my parents apt. They also do maintenance for any honey do problems. Like mounting paintings, at no charge. Staff is polite and professional.

Just in the nick of time
I didn't want to move into a normal apartment complex. A place 4 mom found me a few places, but the place I settled for had great move in cost. Plus it's quiet. Only wish we had assigned parking. People act like they don't see I park in the same spot.

It's a little pricey. I had 3 people looking for a place, loved mine, but changed their mind when they saw the pricing.
The staff is wonderful. Always smiling.
I love living there. It also feels secure.
When I was moving in, I was carrying boxes and didn't see a rock that had rolled out of the garden. I fell on my back side and hit my head. A friend that moved in about a month before me did the same thing. She ended up with a concussion. She had other injuries also. When visiting with some neighbors, we found out that quite a few residents have fallen on those rocks.

Definitely recommended
This place stood out to us because it appeared much newer, and a much better layout. More apartment options. Staff appeared more attentive. By the way, this is not an assisted living facility. Fully independent. The staff has been very good to work with. The complex does offer a lot of activities. It is well maintained. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

smoking facility
They have smokers but this is stated in small print. Most people here are disabled or with medical problems. A sedentary lifestyle is noted and seems more like a geriatric setting. Not much movement or traffic inside this type of community.

A Good Place to Come
If you are more independent then this may not be the community for you. The staff are good to work with, and are nice.
Some of the activities that are available are bingo, line dancing, card games, pool, water aerobics, chair yoga, and more for the residents to choose from. There is a computer room and salon on site. They have been good at keeping up with their COVID protocols.

Smoking facility
This community has smoking throughout the community. While touring the grounds, I smelled cigarette, tobacco, and, pipe smoke emanating from the enclosed porches that do not show the smoker. Verbally, I was not advised that this is a smoking facility. by the staff. I experienced a fast push to sign up by the staff.

I think they offer fair pricing, and the friendliness of the staff and residents is off the charts. If I have any issues, I can just call and there's always somebody there to answer. Activities have been a little limited, but they're doing the best they can. They still have the clubhouse closed, but they're offering things like chair exercises, pool exercises, and bingo. They're allowing the exercise room with the machines for use by appointment. On Fridays, they've been having live entertainment. Every morning they have a walk with the activities director where they go for as stroll around the property. I feel it's a very good value here.

Happy and Would Do It Again
They're very, very friendly, and very helpful. It's an excellent value and a reasonable cost for what you get. All of the apartments are remodeled before a new tenant moves in. My only complaint is there's no icemaker in the refrigerator, and the fridge is a little smaller. But when you downsize from a house to an apartment, you have to give up something. Based on Covid restrictions, I think they've done the best they can with activities. In the old days, they served breakfasts and lunches and had happy hours with singers and piano entertainment. They have an excellent on-site barbershop/salon, for men and women, and you can get a manicure/pedicure there too. I love that feature, and it's a very reasonable price too. I can get my hair cut for 15 bucks. The pool is open with occupancy restrictions, so we're getting back to before Covid. I feel we were lucky. I was not expecting the quality that we found here. Our only problem was downsizing from a house, so we're on a waiting list for a garage to use for storage. But we'll get one eventually.

Carefree, a great place for independent seniors
I have lived at Carefree for over 3 years and love it here. I never would have met so many people who became friends, in a regular apartment complex. The maintenance staff is responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The office staff are also friendly and helpful.

Efficient Service
My garbage disposal was leaking and the rubber sealant on refrigerator door was loose. I put in a work order and someone was out the next day to see what was wrong. They replaced it disposal and sealant.

I've been here 2 years and every time I've had to call about something, rather large or small, they are helpful and friendly.

OUR Heroes
The staff is exceptional. Everyone of them offers professional assistance from a Bus ride chaffered by [name removed] who makes every passenger feel "special", to [name removed] who offers virtual entertainment and offers weekly luncheons for a very small fee that is especially prepared with awesome recipes; and [name removed] who heads an outstanding repair and installation team. If you want a curtain rod or shelving installed, it is offered as part of the amenities.
Covid 19 had curtailed many of the programs such as Friday night parties with live musicians and dancing with free cocktails as a part of the offering.
I cannot say enough in praise of the staff and considering the dangers they
face with this pandemic, they all deserve a big THANK YOU.
