The perfect place
The perfect place is the Addison of Oakleaf. The place is amazing , the workers are so caring they are really awesome and great. The food is amazing three great meals a day. They have a lot of activities, which is good for the residence. Everyone there is wonderful. I am so glad that we picked this place for my husband. The place is very clean. They really care about the residence.

The perfect place

Benton House is a great home.
My family and loved one have had a good experience with Benton House at Oakleaf. The community is clean when we visit our loved one. The staff are kind, caring, and helpful. Everyone seems to be friendly. This is a great community and we would recommend Benton House to others for their loved ones.

A Good Place
Benton House is a good place. The staff to patient ratios are good. The food is good for my loved one.
Some of the activities available include bingo, music, theme parties, and more for the residents to choose from.

My review of Benton House at Oakleaf (Principal Senior Living)
Our family was able to have an in person tour and it was exceptional we loved the tour it was amazing. However besides this community we were looking at three others, and the others were about 5-10 minutes away from us and this was closer to 30-35 which isn't the most convenient. However it was our 2nd choice.

It has a very homey atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, and they work hard with the families to take care of their loved ones. The day to day care is as good as can be expected. It's very clean. They have plenty of activities, including bingo, church service on Sundays, movies, and ice cream socials.

Beautiful Community with Potential of Great Activities
It is a brand new community, and it is very nice and clean so far. They haven't quite gotten all the kinks worked out. There seems to be some turnover in staffing.
The activities calendar is amazing, but they don't do many of the activates that are offered. Currently they are doing bingo primarily. It seems the activities are more for the assisted living side, and they ignore the memory care side.

Our families experience
Our loved one is pretty happy with the meals that they serve, and the activities did start out really good and strong, but now they are more limited and we are seeing more television time, then activities. The value for cost is very good right now, however we do anticipate the value going up next year. When you walk into the community its like walking into someones living room. It has a warm feeling to it, and all the rooms are surrounding the main room so everyone feels included and much apart of the facility.

They are friendly, caring and helpful!
The only issue we have had with the care services at the community is regarding our loved ones medication, that has been our only issue. They do offer good activities, and if they are able to they bring people in the engage with the residents. Our loved one has a beautiful apartment with a private screen porch.

Due Diligence
The Benton House presents very well; however the care my parents received was filled with errors, shortcomings and ended with the resignation of the Executive Director. Upon his removal, things continued poorly. My father suffering from dementia, had his room moved without contact with family members, who visit regularly. This obviously caused my father’s mood to be altered. My father is legally blind, his glasses were misplaced for a period of time, wasn’t noticed until a family member visited. After a search of the memory care unit, his glasses were found. COVID-19 cases are prevalent with the staff and residents. Unfortunately, after 6 short months in the Benton House, I lost my father to complications from COVID-19 . The Benton House may have good intentions; however, I would really research this facility and come to your own conclusions.

Welcome to Benton House
I visited several other places, but when I visited Benton House, I didn't want to go anywhere else. We chose this community because the first time I went in, they were concerned about me and how I can deal with the situation of moving my mother which impressed me. They didn't want to just take care of mom, but they want to take care of me as well. They call me when something is important and when I have questions they are very communicative. The room sizes seem average. My mom said the food is very good, they are delivering food to the rooms right now, but there is a dining room. My favorite part about this community so far has been the staff members. They are friendly, they say I can call them anytime, even if they are not on the clock, and if there is a problem, they don't try to avoid it. I would recommend Benton House at Oakleaf and I have.

Benton House At Oakleaf
We love the staff and they do a great job. They have had no cases of the Covid-19 virus at the community. During the community lock down, the activities director has been sending us pictures of my mother and the other residents engaged in crafts and things like that. She has a birthday coming up and they are planning on doing something special for her! We wouldn't want her anywhere else. We can call and talk to her any time and the staff will set up FaceTime for her if we want. Not the most expensive community, we definitely think Benton House is a good value.
We would recommend this community for everybody.

Benton House At Oakleaf
The community smells fresh, no other odors. I didn't see people cleaning but the community was clean. The staff was friendly and greeted us at the door. They all asked if they could help us and were very accommodating where they could be. The care was good as well, no complaints from my husband. He didn't complain about the food either! The only downside was when I tried to take him back, they were not licensed to thicken food otherwise I would have chosen them again.

Great Visit at Benton House at Oakleaf
We toured this community for a family member recently and we loved it! Very clean, happy residents, caring staff.
Who could want more! The residents and the staff seemed very happy. It is in a great location and we did not find that the traffic in the area was a problem at all. When our family member comes to town to visit we are taking her to tour the community and feel that she will want to move in. It is right up the street from our home.

Congested area
While touring properties for my loved one, getting to this particular location has very bad traffic. It is a very congested area so it was not very convenient to go to and from the facility. The community is fine however, with great staff and nice atmosphere.

Very nice facility all new so a big plus. Easier drive for me to get to than Belfort Oaks Place. Little more expensive but amenities are certainly worth it.

Awesome Community
My mother is doing very well since her move to this community. She is getting way more involved in this community than the previous one she was at. At the community she was at before the staff was not very encouraging to her to get out her room. The staff at this community is great, they have been encouraging to her to get out her room, and learn the routine around the community. She has even made a new friend, which is nice to see. My brother in law lives close to her, and he tells me she looks really good. Everyone in this community is amazing, and I would definitely recommend it.

My aunt loves the Benton House at Oakleaf!
What a beautiful community! On one floor only, no stairs and no elevators. Great atmosphere with very happy residents. My aunt lives there and loves the friendly and caring staff and has made many friends already.
I would recommend Benton House at Oakleaf to anyone that would like to move in here!

This is a beautiful community. The people I met during my tour were super nice. They followed up with us after the tour. This community would have been our first choice if they were a memory care only community.
