I think Artis is a great place for my mother-in-law. I've had other experiences with my own parents at a different facility and Artis is really a wonderful place. I really have no criticisms of Artis, so on 1-7, I would probably give them a 5.

Our holistic well-being framework is comprised of four essential components, in optimal combination: supportive environment, discreet care, social connection, and cognitive health. We collaborate with the resident, their family, doctors, and care partners to create an assessment-based plan of care, with supervision by on-site 24-hour licensed nursing staff and 24-hour dementia care-trained associates on-site. I only recommend and as Nurse I am a "hard sell"
Love the neighborhood style of the facility. Love that residents can move around the entire faculty-including large outside area. This is nice because most places have a small locked area for memory care.
Each neighborhood has own dining room where residents eat family style.

Wonderful care; did not know there were great places like this
I have been a nurse for 35 years and I'm a "tough sell" when it comes to anything related to healthcare. I did not know places like Artis existed. It is truly wonderful!
The fact that the entire facility is memory care. Other places were nice but the "memory care units" were small areas. Artis has different neighborhoods, each neighborhood has its own TV room and dining so there are not more than 14 residents per neighborhood. Residents can go to other neighborhoods as well. They have the run of the place. And the staff are amazing. Very attentive and the place is extremely clean. My Mom and I feel blessed to have found such a place. And like I said, I am a nurse with a PhD and been a nurse 35 years.

This is the best place you can find for your loved one to be. The staff are very kind, and they specialize in memory care for the residents in the community.
The staff communication is very good when the family has questions about our loved one.
There are three meals a day served and the resident's have choices to choose from.

Based off of what we saw I think Artis could have been a good fit for my loved one. I just know she would not have come out of her room to do the activities or anything and the room sizes here were very small. You could only fit a bed and dresser and that is where she spends most of her time.

Thank you for your feedback. Our private suites are purposefully designed to meet the needs of those with memory impairment and truly serve as a place to sleep at night. We have many residents who have personalized their suites and fit quite a bit of furniture, more than a bed and dresser. The life enrichment that is offered throughout the day is much more engaging than staring at the 4 walls in their suite. So we encourage them to be a part of the community throughout the day. We would love if you'd reconsider us.

Good experience
The staff members are all very friendly. There are plenty of activities provided for the residents to participate in. I have not eaten here but it looks like the food is good. It is more expensive than the other Artis facility nearby. So far we have had a good experience at Atris Senior Living of Bridgetown.

I can’t say enough about the Artis Memory facility on Bridgetown Road in Cincinnati. The patients are treated with respect, there are activities throughout every day, and the staff is helpful and friendly to patients and visiting guests. Truly a first-class facility!

I would highly recommend Artis to others for their loved ones. Their communication could be improved upon. It would be nice to have a system or portal to see what your loved one has done throughout and the status day. There could have been more communication during the first month of transition into the community to the family.
