The once a month dinners are a fun way for family to join in as a group, but I was always welcome to play bingo or join in singing. \n\nSometimes communication between staff leaving and next staff member coming on board wasn't the smoothest process, at least from what we experienced/witnessed as our mother was in final weeks. But overall, the caring and compassion helped my mother enjoy her last year at Water's Edge. She loved her window overlooking the pond. ","reviewContent":"We moved my mom into Water’s Edge two months ago. Mom has dementia which at this time consists of no short term memory and the beginning of cognitive reasoning difficulties. Water’s Edge was able to place her in her own room not in memory care but just Level II assistance which has been wonderful for her. She loves her room, enjoys her floor mates and feels safe and happy. The staff is so nice and I love that they always call her by name when they come into her room. The only problem I have had is in understanding all the processes involved in assisted living. It is sometimes hard to get someone on the phone but when I do they are very helpful. This should not be a problem as time goes on and we get more familiar with everything. I would definitely recommend Water’s Edge to others. Overall, I am very pleased with the care that my loved one is receiving.
