Garden at shadow hills is absolutely amazing. The caregivers are attentive, compassionate, and always go the extra mile to make sure residents are safe, happy, and well taken care of. It’s clear they genuinely care about each individual, treating them with dignity and kindness. The activities offered keep residents engaged and social, which makes a big difference in their overall well-being. The meals are also well-prepared and nutritious, with attention to residents preferences. Overall, I highly recommend this assisted living community to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and supportive place for their loved one. It gives families peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in such good hands.

Mixed emotions, traumatic but found some caring people
I toured the facility and was very impressed with the sales director and the facilities. Everything was good for the first couple of months, but as my mom's dementia increased the patience with my mom from the wellness director diminished. The review does not give enough space to explain the problems in detail, but there was one incident where my mom was forced from her chair against her will and put in bed. The next morning her right arm was covered in bruises. Another incident the staff member did not put my mom in her wheelchair correctly and she fell face first to the floor. The staff member showed no compassion or remorse. I reported it to the executive director and she told me "we can't teach compassion."
If your family member is fairly independent they will do just fine at GSH, but if they require more care I would suggest checking on your family member often. Most staff is caring, mgt not so much. I highly recommend cameras in the room, peace of mind and evidence of issues.

Would not recommend
Very glad to be out of SH. If you are mobile and self sufficient you can tolerate it. Otherwise, very little care and attention. Very sad.
I would not recommend it at all.

We chose this facility because it was one of the closest to Anton where [name removed] had lived for 40 years, close for visits from her church friends and nieces.

Overpriced for service
Nice apartments and grounds but overpriced for the services provided. The staff is friendly.
We were told light housekeeping was included.(including taking the trash out, changing sheets.) That is not the case. And the "light housekeeping " is swiping a cloth across the kitchen counters, and sweeping the kitchen. The food is unacceptable. They had said with unassisted living they could take her to store , Dr, etc. But they can't since she needs assistance exiting the van.

Love Vitality Shadow Hills
My father is currently residing at this wonderful assisted living facility. He is so very happy and comfortable living in his studio apartment and enjoys his new found family and social life. The staff are extremely helpful, supportive and friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. The environment is very warm, inviting and well maintained. What sold me in the initial touring of Shadow Hills is that the residents would introduce themselves and gave us their wonderful experiences living at this facility. So very happy I listened to them. The administrative staff consisting of [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] are definitely first class.

A welcoming environment
The staff was friendly and helpful. In our situation, meals are not needed on a daily basis, but when ordered they are very good.. Meals may be delivered to the cottages. There is a variety of activities, including trips to the movies and shopping, painting and music. We would recommend Vitality Living Shadow Hills to others.

It is a nice facility for independent living, but it is poorly managed. There is not enough communication between the staff and residents. And the food is very poor quality.

The staff members are really friendly, but just like many other places they are struggling with staffing and just seem like they do not keep enough people. We have not had a meal there ourselves but based on the feedback we get from our loved one there, it is great. The food is good. They have a lot of activites. lWe picked this community because, we liked the way it looked outsid. It's a cottage style community, and it's not institutionalized. The staff is super freindly, nice, and it's clean. They have a lot of choices for breakfast, and lunch. I am getting quite a bit, for they money that I am paying. It's a good spot. My loved one is getting, the care needed, for what I am paying.

Great place for my mom thank y'all so very much. Yes I would and did already. They are great all around. Food is a huge deal and my mom is picky. She likes the food so I am so happy. The activities are kind of dull but realize my mom is only 77 so it's geared for the majority of the older residents. I honestly have nothing bad to say. The staff gave me their personal cell number and the work after hours all the time. It's a nice smaller community great for dementia. We're blessed to be there. I just spoke to my mom and she told me they have a birthday party for her today she was shocked. Yup we found a good place
