of “The Rivers”","reviewContent":"The Rivers is the second assisted living facility I have been in since moving to Washington. I moved here in 2024 to be with residents closer to my age and physical ability! I have found The Rivers to be a warm and friendly place to live with activities, arts and crafts, games, and stimulating staff willing to help us be our best selves! Our families are encouraged to join us for some holiday celebrations. We are free to go on walks if we choose. There are shopping trips, outings, church runs, and medical appointments as long as they are within ten miles of our residence. We have movies available twice a day and participate in Jeopardy, Trivia (with other Pegasus facilities) and Spintopia. In addition we have informative videos regarding Dementia every other mouth by a psychologist/counselor. Very good information. Our families are given the site so they can watch, as well. Everything is set up to help us function happily, safely, and comfortably in our senior years.","reviewerDisplayName":"Toni S","experienceTypeId":1,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a current/former resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"[name removed] is wonderful, of course, she is sales.","reviewContent":"[name removed] was excellent. She helped bring the costs down as much as any of the assisted living places would. The meeting with the person who \"helped you decide on needed cares did not explain that once you picked a care , you could never remove it or it's charge. We were told that care needs could fluctuate but obviously only to their financial advantage. We were adamant she did not want to be awakened/ checked on at night. We later saw it on the charges & she tried to say we were just trying to reduce the cost. I am an RN. The cares are being padded so you better ask for the minimum & only add later if essential. She needs help dressing, hearing aids, & opening the heavy room door. Pays for but seldom gets. Front desk is often unattended. Drs visits are limited, I believe 9-1 one day per week. She loves the place as \"all the girls are so sweet \". So she keeps giving her things to them. We are trying to get her to stop. Most importantly the care seems good, the food is good","reviewerDisplayName":"Tamara L Johnson","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"They are the perfect fit for my husband","reviewContent":"I needed a place for my husband to be taken care of while he was continuing to recover from brain surgery. I looked at many and called\nvarious others with no luck. I got positive response from the Rivers. Went there to discuss placing him there and looking the place over. I was very pleased with what they have to offer and the tour of the facility was wonderful. I have a place for him at the Rivers.","reviewerDisplayName":"Kathy","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"Great facility ","reviewContent":"The Rivers at Puyallup Assisted Living and Memory Care is truly an exceptional community. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that residents feel cared for, supported, and part of a welcoming family. The engaging activities, personalized care, and thoughtful programs show how much effort is put into enriching the lives of everyone here.\n\nThe community is always clean, warm, and inviting, and the dining options are excellent—making mealtime something to look forward to. It’s clear that the team prioritizes not only the physical well-being of residents but also their emotional and social needs.\n\nWhether it’s the compassionate memory care or the vibrant assisted living programs, The Rivers at Puyallup sets a high standard for senior living. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care.","reviewerDisplayName":"Alex","experienceTypeId":5,"experienceTypeName":"I work in the industry"},{"reviewTitle":"Dad is happy, I'm happy","reviewContent":"I'd say the staff is pretty friendly with my dad, he even made friends with one of them. Facility offered all types of services if any type of care needed to be changed, of the places I visited, this was the best bang for the buck. My dad seems pretty contempt with where he is at.\n\n","reviewerDisplayName":"Anonymous","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"Exceptional care","reviewContent":"The location was close. The memory care unit was new. Each resident has a private bedroom. As my husband was dying, his care was exceptional and I felt supported. \nThe staff were especially caring and supportive.\n","reviewerDisplayName":"Anonymous","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"Great value","reviewContent":"Facility is older but kept in decent condition, and we have not met any staff members who were less than pleasant.\nMore variety on the food - they have a variety of options for each meal on a (weekly?) rotation basis, but they are all pretty basic and get boring over time.\n","reviewerDisplayName":"Anonymous","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"My experience","reviewContent":"I think I would tell others that they should visit, get to know staff beyond just Sales and Marketing.\nThen make their own decisions. I am satisfied that [name removed] is getting the care she needs. ","reviewerDisplayName":"Anonymous","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"So far so good","reviewContent":"I would make sure others looking know that they don't change from private pay to state aid when you run out of money, a big factor for many.\n","reviewerDisplayName":"Anonymous","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"},{"reviewTitle":"our families experience ","reviewContent":"The Rivers is great! Only problem is cost, she may not be able to live there too much longer. However, we love the food, the activities, and loved her studio, outings, staff. She was gaining weight(which she desperately needed) I really didn't see anything negative about it. Would have been 5 overall except for the price it's a great place","reviewerDisplayName":"Anonymous","experienceTypeId":4,"experienceTypeName":"I'm a loved one of a resident or client"}],"parentOrgReview":{"name":"Pegasus Senior Living, LLC","slug":"pegasus-senior-living-llc-1420700","averageReviewScoreDisplay":8.7,"communityCount":36,"reviewCount":2023}},"communityName":"The Rivers at Puyallup","leadgenCompleted":false}
