Food and meals are very good and plentiful. Entertainment from outsiders is great plus employees who entertain. Cleanliness is high class. Bus service to shops and stores and medical clinics is plentiful and on time. Outside visitors are very welcome, also outside family member.

A new beginning to a well traveled life!
As we age our life styles need additional help to insure quality of life with a blend of great friends, atmosphere, quality care and food for the body and soul. We are blessed to have The Gallery to help our family and selves to do just that! They offer a blend of activities and crafts to charm the most demanding individuals! Cards, mind games, movies, field trips. Transportation to pray or shop all included its a fantastic life far all who come.

Excellent Community Overall
My mother has resided in the memory care community for 3 years. Director turnover is very high. They are very friendly but different skill levels. The activities are good but we need more interactive activities not just watching TV. The urine smell is more presenting certain area. The staff is great. It's an area that takes the right individuals to work in. The cost is high.

The Gallery at Cape Coral review
We have been through four memory care directors in one year. The majority of staff inside the memory care community are not properly trained and there is no communication between staff when shift change. They have no idea on how to properly move or care for someone who has returned after surgery rehab. There are the select few staff members who truly care and the others don't. Laundry is n ver done or returned correctly. My FIL can go for literally all day with no one checking on him and sometimes not even coming to get him for meals.
The administration staff (front office) do not want to help you at all or answer any questions. My FIL has been in rehab for 7 weeks for a hip replacement and not a single person had called to check on him at all.
The gallery is a beautiful place but I would not recommend for what you pay.

Safe from Hurricane Milton
The Gallery at Cape Coral's staff and facility were fantastic during hurricane Milton several weeks ago. Mom was new to the area and we had considered taking her out of the area for safety reasons, however, the staff made us feel very much at ease with the fantastic preparedness and care for her. In fact, they invited families who had to evacuate their homes to stay with them at The Gallery. It was a big sleep over!! They had hour to hour activities, and guitar/singer Timmy Buffet performed for several hours to which there was much singing and dancing! All of the residents were so busy they didn't even know there was a hurricane!! We feel so blessed to be at The Gallery. The staff is outstanding!! Even when there is not a hurricane, they are the best!!

Overall recommend
We liked that it was newer than some of the other ones and room was nicer. They really need to invest in more comfortable seating in their activities room. What 80 year old wants to sit in a hard folding chair to watch a movie? Needs more landscaping and a more pleasant outdoor area.

The Gallery is a great place
The food is very expensive and they give the person $[removed] a month to spend on their food and there's nothing on the menu that they can get reasonably priced everything's à la cart you order a pork chop you order corn that's extra. You order a potato that's extra. You order a drink that's extra. A dessert is extra so I think the pricing of the food is out of hand even though they give you a complementary breakfast, it's still, not what we were told in.
They have great activities now they get more and more each as they go along. If the person participates some activities they get a little ticket at the end of the month they use their tickets to get door prizes, which is kind of cool.
And as it goes for value of money, it's a little expensive. I'm hoping after his year being there, they don't raise the rent up higher, but he enjoying it and when it comes down to it, that's all that really matters and he's starting to make some friends and getting a little bit more active.
And in the past, if we've had any issues with anything they get right on top of it so that's a good thing also.
The facilities and the staff are nice. They hold nice conversations with my uncle but again they have to do that kind of stuff because you're paying them. Basically I have seen the Director get involved in different activities and she is very involved that kind of stuff so they are good that way.
The Gallery also has assistant living and memory care which I'm told the assistant care and the memory care are excellent from the EMT standpoint and when we've had to go in and talk to them at the assistant living in the memory care, they have been super super nice.
I am friends with an EMT that she serves all the facilities there and she does say out of all the facilities that is the nicest one and the people there are the nicest so that is good thing to know.

Very happy living here. Many interesting activities are planned. Staff and employees are helpful my only complaint is about laundry. It has not been returned folded and is left in dryer their wrinkled.
