Caring facility
It is a very caring facility where I feel the staff from the cleaners to activities treat everyone with such kindness and feels like genuine relationships. I would not hesitate to recommend. Has a homey/inviting feel as well as nice touches. I do feel it is very pricey, yet that is what Maine is pricing.

Caring facility

Nice Environment
We picked this community, because we were looking for a place for both my loved ones, and they had rooms available. It's a nice place, and good environment. Overall, I would recommend to other famileis.

Loved it!
We toured The Enclave of Scarborough during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one and we loved it! Everything was wonderful about this facility. It was my first choice. However, it was too expensive for our budget.

Excellent facility and staff, but more time needed to review contract and support families transitioning to care
I think that the staff who look after the residents at The Enclave of Scarborough are fantastic. Also, the Memory Care unit was very well maintained. The intake staff are helpful, as well. The biggest issue for me was not receiving the lengthy contract, which is a complex legal document, until just before EOB, with quite some intrinsic pressure (spot availability and financial incentive) to sign by midnight the same day. It was a very emotional period for my family and that pressure wasn't helpful. Secondly, my loved one was put on morphine her second day without any communication with me. However, that might have been a hospice issue? Still, more timely communication from both parties would have been appreciated. Especially as we transitioned from total oversight of our loved one's care to figuring out what that looked like in a facility. That said, I do feel that this facility offered a much better standard of care than many similar facilities and I would recommend it to others. I hope that my feedback will lead to improvement, rather than detract from the overall excellence that they provide to the residents at this facility.

Mom is safe
The staff are all lovely and very friendly and supportive to my mom and to the family. They are approachable and quick to respond to needs or requests. My mom's room is always clean and her laundry is done promptly. The only issue my mom has is that she doesn't care for the food. They have alternative options, but she doesn't know or remember to ask for them.

Amazing staff
We have had a fantastic experience at The Enclave at Scarborough. I would give the staff a 10 out of 5, they have been great and pay a ton of attention to detail and are so attentive to their residents. They are very accomdaioting to whatever the needs of the individual are -they have been wonderful with my mom. The communication with family is great as well, they always let me know when something happens and they also send emails conveying any information of what is happening within the facility. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

I Would Recommend
This is typical of other communities I have dealt with in the past. The communication with the staff is good.
The community has activities for the residents to choose from. Bus trips, church groups, walking, and more are some of the activities offered.

Tour of The Enclave
I toured The Enclave of Scarborough and it was a good tour. The sales person was a bit pushy and had a hard-sell approach. It was one of those "can you sign today" type of tours. We chose another community because The Enclave is also located on a busy street.

Very Pleasing
We are pretty impressed with the community. It is tidy, neat, and organized. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff interactions we have had have been great.
The medication management, reminders to eat, and more are some of the care the community is able to provide.
The apartment, laundry, housekeeping, changing of linens, transportation, and utilities are included in the monthly fee.
There are activities for the residents to participate in. My loved one seems to enjoy the cornhole activity that is available.

a nice place to be
They bring in live entertainment at least once or twice a week. They take them on little trips and bus tours to sight see the surrounding area. They have smaller in house activities like bingo, board games, and crafts. Sometimes they are a little skimpy on the portion sizes, they are supposed to be working on it but sometimes they are great and others are left to be desired. The meals could be more consistent

We had a nice tour at The Enclave. I thought they were informative. They just didn't have availability at the time, and they seemed to be having staffing issues (although we found that to be the case at most places).

Tour of The Enclave
Right when we walked in it just felt more institutionalized than some others we saw. The room sizes here are very big. They have a happy hour cart that comes around and I did not think that would be a good idea for memory care. It was not the right fit for us.

Another Sunny Day at the Enclave
I have already told people that I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community has worked with us due to some circumstances in the beginning due to some rehab of my loved one.
I wish there was another level of care between assisted living and memory care. It is an awesome community overall.
The staff genuinely care about the residents. The communication is great with the staff.
The are private pay; however, the community will help match up your loved one, if the time comes that you need that.
The community celebrates the resident's birthdays, along with movie nights and more for activities.

COVID protocols in place. Mask required for visitors. Grounds very well kept. Small Community on a busy street. Not much outdoor space for residents to mingle. Observed the common room by front door was occupied by many residents. Very friendly. The tour hit the high points, puzzle areas, dining room wing for Memory Care, beauty salon. Transportation available to and from appointments. Financially comparable to others I have toured.
