They took the time to feed us lunch so we could experience the food. The director of the facility came to talk with us over lunch. While the lunch was going on he noted a resident who seemed down and excused himself to go over and talk to the resident. He greeted every resident by name, so do the rest of the staff. That says something about the people who work there. My dad really loved a dish in the dining room and mentioned it, the chef came out to talk to him about her recipe. Overall they just made the best impression. It wasn't that the other places weren't good but The Blake just felt right. I will say my dad was leery of giving up his primary care doctor because he really liked him, but The Blake chose a great doctor and he is very happy to have her as his new primary care.
