If I could give it zero stars I would .with her care.
If I could I would give it zero stars.. My sister is presently in the rehab facility. The”care” is horrendous. She has been left soiled for hours at time. Her pain meds are never given on time, sometimes 2 hours late. She had had to hire private aides 24 hours a day to take care of her. She was promised a specific type of mattress for her bedsore and it’s been over a week and has not received it making her pain much worse. Just a horrible experience

Poor Communication
My 83 year old father was sent to MMW after a hospital stay for sepsis post surgery. While I think the nursing staff "cared" for him well enough, there were times that he (cognitively impaired) could not reach a nurse to help him with tasks he needed such as bathroom support. We had to call the main line and ask for his floor nurse many times... and ***BTW, too often, the main line receptionist would answer the line then hang up! I also tried to reach out to the assigned social worker and she made little effort to stay in contact. Over all, disappointing.

Dangerous and understaffed
My mother was in the sub acute section and the medical care was horrendous and grounds for malpractice. One Dr told me he accidentally put that she had kidney disease in her chart and asked me to have it corrected because he was too embarrassed. They left my mother soiled numerous times. They did not answer the call button. They are dangerously understaffed and the head Dr, Dr [name removed], did nothing to address numerous concerns. Avoid at all costs. Zero stars

Do Not Dare not Even for a Night
I cannot say enough terrible things about this horrible facility. After my father was there for less than four days he had already fallen twice and was having trouble getting a nurse to come help him to the bathroom for 30 to 40 minutes average. There is one Doctor and is overworked and the rest of the nurses are of the lowest caliber I’ve ever seen. The nurse caring for my father was on her iPhone Laughing to herself about something and was completely disregarding patients that needed her help. When I asked her for her name she turned and walked away because she knew she was doing a terrible job. The medical care is horrible they barely know how to hook up an oxygen machine and I went there one night late to visit my father and the man in the next room stood up out of his wheelchair and almost cracked his head on the floor. The nurses are sitting so far away and I think that had I not been sitting there they would not of made it over in time to keep him from cracking his skull. If this is how the Catholic Church is running this facility and there should be a movie made about it in the same spirit as Spotlight

Awful place
My mother is admitted here as an in-patient for short term care. The nurses support are HORRIBLE. They let my mom sit in her urine and pop and did NOT change her. This place should be ashamed for the lack of care given to in-patients. The administrators are lacking in care and follow-through.

Just horrible and very expensive.
Just horrible and very expensive. It's got an upper east side panache. It's pretty clean. The social workers are overworked. It's very depressing, they didn't engage the people socially. The people are friendly, and they really are trying but they don't have enough staff.

God Foresaken Prison for the Elderly
It's a God foresaken prison for the elderly. The place should be shut down. It's deplorable in cleanliness, deplorable in senior care attention - the people are put in a wheelchair and sat in a hallway for 8 to 10 hours a day. They should be reported. I have pictures of the disgusting, deplorable condition people have to live in there. Those people are horrible! I couldn't belive how bad that place is.

about The Arch Care at Mary Manning Walsh Home

A Place for Mom has scored The Arch Care at Mary Manning Walsh Home 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
