Sonata Delray Beach Review
Sonata Delray Beach is a clean place, very friendly staff, they really care about residents. The food that they serve is very good. My sister looks forward to bingo and exercise class. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but seems to be in line with most other places we looked at. We chose it because of location to us and we loved the outside garden area. We also like that it wasn't so large and overwhelming to my sister, so she could find her way around better.

Very disappointed
In looking for a place for my aunt from out of state I found. Sonata. I was very impressed. They visited her twice at the rehab where she was and seem like they cared about her as an individual. I signed all the papers, and gave them payment for the 10 days of May & June as well as the community fee. She was there for 4 days , then taken to the hospital in an ambulance on [date removed]. No one from Sonata came to visit her while she was in the hospital or when she was placed in hospice within the hospital. I came down from Texas as soon as I could but she passed away on [date removed]. Now Sonata is telling me they will not refund the entire month of June as they had previously said they would but would only refund me from [date removed] when I was able to pick up her clothes. They never told me that had to be done when I told them that she wasn't coming back when she was placed on hospice. I thought this place was different but they're not. It's a business. all they care about is money.

compfortable place for your loved one
The community is smaller than most and I like that they receive more personalized care. The community is kept neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

My review of Sonata Delray Beach
Our family had an in person tour and it was just to small of a community. They services were very very limited and it seemed like they were boasting and bragging about how they offered certain services. However there display to us just seem like they limited themselves and didn't impress us with how they could manage the community or if they could manage it at all.

A very Nice Place Phyiscally, Lacking a Little in Emotional Support
They were personal things that I was not favorable about. I had a problem with them not accommodating the request to place my loved on the first floor. This is because he wouldn't know how to access the first floor, due to his memory loss. My loved one was getting upset because he kept setting alarms off, and felt it was disturbing others. The loved one was always trying to be personable. He was always offering to help in the dining room, as he doesn't want to have others waiting on him.
I also asked for my loved one to be taken down for meals, as he wasn't one to remember to eat. My loved one would remember to eat in the morning.
I decided to go check on my loved one, and no one came to the door to meet him. I found out that my loved one wasn't in the room. The staff didn't know where my loved one was. They found him a few rooms down. The staff would come to let them know about 10 minutes until dinner, and they weren't taking my loved one down for dinner. They were letting him make the decision whether to go down to eat.
I ended up taking him out of the community. The community took the money for the rest of the month, and then the community came to my house to collect the following month. This was because I didn't give them a 30 day notice.

A REAL PLACE FOR MOM
We brought my mother to a place with the friendliest staff in the world! They were all so nice it didn't seem real,but it was both real and genuine. The staff was so caring and professional,that they turned a really hard experience,into something both warm and nice. Every single person was a blessing and i will be forever grateful to that staff!

The food is fine and they do offer a lot of daily activities. The staff are good people and they are doing a fine job. The staff are efficient. The community is clean and the grounds are well maintained.

This was a wonderful tour the staff was great and we enjoyed having lunch there as well. The community was very nice and they offered daily activities. This would have been a nice fit but I felt my mom would need a little more assistance than what they offered.

Overall a positive experience
This community has new owners and they are making some renovations. They are replacing the floors and carpeting. They are keeping the community clean during this process. The management have been helpful and accommodating. Most of the aides are friendly and helpful. The food looks ok. They do offer daily activities, singalongs and entertainers that come in. This community is for memory care and I think they are doing a pretty good job.

It Was A Close Move-In
After touring their nice community and decided that this was the place for my brother, we found that my brothers age was not acceptable for them. We were signing paperwork and writing check but it just wasn't possible, they felt he would not fit in. The tour was a good experience and they were on time for our meeting.

Good Tour, But not For Us
I toured this community for my father in law and his needs. It was a nice tour, and everybody was very nice. They do a good job with keeping the community. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. There were many factors that played into where to move my father too, and this wasn't the one for us.

We are very happy with the place.
We are very happy with the place. Everything is five stars. The communication with the staff has been good. As a family, we are happy that are mother is here. The food is good. Five stars. I would absolutely recommend the Brookdale Delray Beach to anyone looking for an excellent facility for their loved ones. It has been a positive experience. Everything has been going great. We are very pleased with this facility.

Overall I have been very pleased.
Overall I have been very pleased. One of the big concerns I had was that he fell when I was there, and I paid for the in house life alert system, and the one time we needed it, it didn't work. The people are very nice, and they treated him nicely, they took good care of him, and checked on him during the day. The dining was very nice, and overall we were pretty pleased with it.

Very nice place!
Things went very well with Homewood Residence at Delray Beach, we were very pleased with them! The facility itself is terrific, it looks very nice and was clean and well kept. The staff were all very easy to work with. They were cooperative and proactive when it came to the care they offered.
