Review for Shawnee Memory Care
I really have no experience with other facilities to compare it with but I think they did a good job. The food and activities were adequate, everything seemed clean and well maintained and most important of all everyone on the staff genuinely seemed to care about my mother and the other residents.

The long or short goodbye
The staff is professional, kind and caring treating residents with a loving touch and made me feel so comfortable around them. They take their work seriously and always willing to jump in and help when needed. The areas where residents lived was clean and neat and I never noticed the ever lingering smell of Clorox and urine but had a subtle pleasing aroma to it. The food prepared was very good and during my time there I had a pleasure of eating with my husband.The residents enjoyed great food in a split dining room with assistance always available to help feed those that could not feed themselves at every meal. Activities are provided for those wishing to attend and often popcorn is provided after activities completed. I am 84 and told staff that when it is my time, I want to become a resident there. I was that impressed

Review for Shawnee Memory Care
All the staff is very caring. They have had some staff shortages since we've been there but I think that is pretty common nowadays. The staff that is there does their best to give the best care they can. It is expensive but seems to be average cost for that kind of facility. It was the closest to my home so I could visit easier. Also had heard good reviews of it.

The food and communication needs to improve
It was a clean community. The food was not that great. The communication needs to improve between the family, hospice and the community. They are way overpriced for what you get.

Outstanding Staff and Fantastic care
The staff at Belfair are outstanding. My mother is a resident there and absolutely loves them. They are always so kind and compassionate with each resident. She has made many new friends. Belfair is more like a resort than other facilities. I highly recommend Belfair of Shawnee to others looking for a place to provide your loved ones with the best care that they deserve.

Highly recommend, amazing staff
They were 5's all across the board. They were wonderful - my dad was only here [time frame removed] but when he was here they took great care of him. All of the staff were friendly and attentive and kept me well informed. I would recommend them to anyone looking. I cannot say enough good things about them. They went above and beyond and really worked with us during a difficult time.

The cleanliness of the community is good it felt more like a resort or a hotel rather then a nursing home. The staff members just loved our mother to death and the meals and dining service was very good. We had our loved one in a double room but by herself and it was much more cheaper then a single room by yourself. We would recommend the Belfair community to other families based on the experience we had.

a great place
The only reason we left off that .5 overall rating is because no place is perfect, but all the way around this is the place to go if you want almost perfect. We like the folks there, all the staff we have dealt with work with our family anytime we have questions or concerns. Our loved one is enjoying the meals and activities.

Belfair
This place is dirty. Little medical care. Keep residents that need more care. Residents fall out of wheelchairs. Understaffed. Residents fight with each other. I would not let my dog live at Belfair.

The good care of a friend
This is a outstanding community for great care. The staff are outstanding and have always been available to make sure that his needs are taken care of when needed. The menu is has a good a lot of good healthy meals with the good variety. He is offered to participate with the other residents in activities that are helpful to his needs. We would recommend this community for the care and outstanding value.

She Has A Great Attitude
My mom is safe in her beautiful and very clean community. She has gone to an art and craft show, air show, car show, and to Braum's or Sonics for ice cream. They do a lot through out the month and she enjoys them. They try to keep the residents out of their room to be more active, her attitude has changed.

Nice place, overall!
I think they do a very good job overall at Belfair of Shawnee! The staff here is friendly and professional, and they do a good job looking after the residents. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the food always looks great! My one complaint would be that I think the staff could do a better job making sure the residents always have water available to drink.

really love the place
Belfair of Shawnee has done an amazing job keeping us updated, letting us know how mom is doing, and the sort of things she is involved in. They work really really well with the family. The proactive communication is much appreciated.

they do really well
They do really well with the patients and treat them with the utmost respect. One thing they could improve on would be better communication during the process of transition to let the families know what is going on and how to better transition through the process.

An Answer To A Prayer
It was traumatic knowing it was finally time to give up the care of my Mother to others, and she was at a very bad time in her journey as well. The people at Belfair were an answer to a prayer. They are caring and loving people who see to the residents every need and deal with each one as the needs may be. The facility is wonderful. Always clean and the food is tasty and nutritious. The extra activities they have are well-planned to the different levels of the residents' lives and enrich their remaining days. I am so grateful to everyone there. My mother is well and happy. I can ask for nothing more.

Really great place, and amazing food!
This place really is magnificent. It's a lovely facility, and the surroundings are gorgeous. The staff are all very knowledgeable, helpful, and very sweet. They've got a great care director, and an RN on staff. They keep the place, and the patients, very clean, no odors at all here.
The food is very good! They've got a chef on site, and they've got a large menu. There a few special selections every day, and also a few staples you can order any time you'd like. He also leaves out things like freshly baked cookies and muffins throughout the day.
They have a very nice variety of activities, with plenty tuned towards their memory care patients. They also have people bring in pets quite often, since everyone seems to enjoy that.
