A Place for Mom referred us. It was in the area mom wanted and the services were what we needed. It's like a cruise ship, 24/7. It's perfect. The only thing I would change is the washer/dryer machine in the apartments. It is useless and there is one traditional pair on the floor and is seemingly always in use. Laundry service would be great or washer dryer stand up in apartment.

Great place to live
Seagrass village was awesome. She only lived there 6 weeks until she got moved to memory care at The Landing, their Sister property. It was understaffed, not well managed, small and had little to offer residents. Seagrass is a Beautiful and clean facility, with excellent food, staff and plenty of activities. Convenient location.

A great place to live!!
Seagrass "The Grand and Villas" are totally independent. I highly recommend it. All the residents and staff are friendly. So many activities, you have to prioritize! I have not regretted one moment of my year here!! I rated the food 3 because we have seen a difference since food prices have increased. In the "Villas", meals are not apart of the fees. But a good plan is available for those that don't want to cook for themselves.

Friendly and Welcoming Community
The staff and residents are very friendly and welcoming. The apartments are spacious with kitchen appliances (no dishwasher). Washer and dryer in apartment. Dining times are close together, but no cooking unless you choose. Snacks, coffee, tea around the clock. Lots of activities to choose from... live music several times week. It's not perfect... but next to it. Recently had a birthday, and this community blessed my day with friendship and love. This is where I was meant to be.

A nice community with friendly staff
It was a nice place but a little smaller than I would have liked. There was no care since it was independent living. The dining areas is nice and mom liked some of the meals provided by typically wanted something else off the menu. Our loved one was not feeling well most of the time she was there so she didn't get to participate a lot, but she did enjoy the happy hours, musicians and bingo. She would of liked to do water aerobics but didn't know what they were offered I think. I didn't think the value for cost was outrageously priced for the area and what they offer.

Great facility
It is across the board amazing! It's like mom is on a cruise every day for the rest of her life! She is 91 and she eats with several other ladies that are 89-90 -she feels like she is in college! The food is incredible-high end restaurant quality or she can have a hot dog if she wants. She loves the painting, aerobics, water aerobics, chapel, happy hour, the in house salon - it is all great. My mom is so busy I have to call ahead of time to see if she is free! Blessed! Staff are very kind! Since she no longer drives the last 2 years, she has lost her independence and missed socialization. This has given her so much joy. I have highly recommended Seagrass Village to others I know.

We had to move my parents quickly into a new environment. The staff was very helpful in getting us the information we needed along with recommending resources as we navigate this new chapter in all our lives. In two weeks time, they are moving around more, getting to know their neighbors and building new routines.

Disappointing
Landscaping is really bad.
Some of the management has been rude. On weekends the front desk does not answer calls or return calls. My freezer went out on a Saturday and I lost all of my food.
Dog park in NOT fenced in. One of the retention ponds does not have a fountain. The front gate does not work. There are NO peep holds in the front door.
We do not have 24 hours security service as advertised.
Was told that Seagrass offered a driving service within a certain millage distance every day except weekends, but now only offered twice a week at an appointed time.
I have mold and lichen all over back yard up to screened in porch. Weeds all alongside of house where landscaping beds should be. Large Armadillo holes everywhere.
Serious drainage issue in back yard from rain water run off. Backs up into my yard and sits. County told me it was designed that way???
There are no motion sensor lights in back of house, just woods and very dark.

Wonderful Independent Living Option
My parents came to PCB to visit us in May after not having seen us for 2 1/2 years due to the coronavirus. At the end of their visit, they decided to move here!
My sister and I checked out many options, but Seagrass Village outshone them all. We loved Robin, the sales director. She was incredibly helpful. All the staff were helpful and friendly as well.
Within two months my parents had moved to Seagrass Village. Their transition has gone very well. It is a lovely facility. The food is quite good, with daily lunch and dinner specials each week. There are also a myriad of activities to choose from. It's like a cruise ship for retirees but on land. My parents are already very involved in the Seagrass community.
I definitely recommend Seagrass Village for anyone looking for an independent living community in Panama City Beach!

Could not be more happy.
I moved here to the Panama City Beach Seagrass Independent living community 3 months ago.
I can say one of the best choices I , along with my children , could have made.
I will have to say the staff has been number one. Anything they can do to help it is done with a smile.
My son and his wife did most for me as far as the paperwork with the sales manager as I was in Memphis . She went above and beyond with helping them and me. Was always ready to talk to answer my many many questions.
Then the ones working the front desk
The first couple days was there to answer questions with a smile.
But as I said all the staff goes above to try to help.
Very happy resident here.
