My Experience
I am currently a resident at Riverside Residence. Overall, things have been okay for me here at this facility. The only thing that I would like to comment on is there are a few problems, but I don't want to comment on them also. As far as the food is concerned, it is not up to my standards. There's way too much starch, not enough vegetables and fruit and way more chicken than there should be. The variety is not very good, but that's just my opinion.

Awesome place to live !!!!
I’ve lived here for two years and throughly enjoy living here .I’ve made many new friends; as well as beautiful sunrise and subsets that one can enjoy living r alongside the river .the residents are helpful and friendly and the food is awesome as we have a six star chef who knows how to make awesome meals .Three meals a day are included in your rent plus housekeeping. It’s a five star place and there is nothing better .

Each Day is a great Experience!!!
Wanted ;Senior Citizens ; to live in a peaceful and beautiful location on The Fox River ,with the shopping .movie theater steps away .Or take a. Stroll on the Riverwalk. Smoke
When coming by to check on my uncle all the smokers are out front and you have to walk through all the smoke. Very unpleasant and no respect for visitors. Would be nice to find another area for the smokers and not the front entrance. Let's hope things get better here with the new owners.

I Would Highly Recommend
The kitchen staff are very nice. The food is pretty good for the amount of people they are serving. It is beautiful outside, especially in the summertime. It is near the Riverwalk. The decorations are gorgeous here. They have places for parking. There are no stoves. Everyone is friendly here.
There is a library on site, along with a beauty shop. They allow dogs on premises. I would recommend the community to others.

WISH WE FOUND YOU SOONER!
My mother just moved into McHenry Villa this past fall and it has been a wonderful experience! Liam has been so supportive and instrumental and honestly helped our family feel at such ease with a huge transition. The location is beautiful and there is a sense of community and true care. :)

Maybe a good fit for your loved one - give it a look.
My mother became a resident of the Villa at age 94. My mother entered fully minded and reasonably fit - doing her own laundry and keeping her apartment tidy. We wanted a nearby facility, limiting our travel. My mother specifically was drawn to having an outdoor connection. The River Walk is easily accessible out the main doors - quiet and away from traffic. Not all places have this benefit. When we met with the director, [name removed], she was friendly, warm and professional. The Villa offers independent living, 3 meals a day, housekeeping and security. Additional services are offered as requested for additional costs. The staff is helpful and caring. Apartment sizes vary. We chose a two room apartment.

The view of the water a plus. Out doors is beautifully landscaped. The menu was so so. It had s good feel about it. Sizes of rooms/kitchen is culture shock. Definitely a possibility.

Mom is happy and comfortable
My Mom lives here currently and is very happy. She’s comfortable and is provided with 3 meals a day. The staff is very responsive and seems to be knowledgeable about the type of care she needs. The food is okay, at least better than hospital food. They have plenty of options, however, so if she’s not happy with the meal they give her then she can get something else. The cleanliness is fine and housekeeping comes by once a week to clean. They have a few activities available like trivia, bingo, and a few social hours. Overall, based on our experience, I would recommend them.

A resort feeling for care
This is a nice community with good care for what is needed. The staff is nice and friendly and helpful. I like knowing that this is a very clean community and seems like a nice resort. They have a nice pool area.The menu is outstanding and they have a nice variety. They offer a lot of great activities and movie nights. They have games and a lot for the residents to be able to participate. We would recommend this community for the great care and value for a loved.

The care at this community is outstanding. The menu is very appealing and a good variety. We like her room and she is comfortable. We like that she is active with the other residents. It makes me happy knowing that she is living in a clean community that she does enjoy. The community is highly recommended to other families for the good care and good value for other families.
