About the facility
Provident Memory Care Buda

Sodalis Buda Memory Care has been serving seniors since 2000, and our new Assisted Living community opened in 2018. We are minutes from downtown Buda and nestled among beautiful trees. Due to the technology boom in Austin, our residents come from all over the United States, often moving to Buda to be closer to their families. This makes our community a dynamic, fun and welcoming place to be!

All of us choose to work in senior living; the seniors who we have spent our lives with have brought us so much joy and love. There is no other industry and no other group of people who we would rather spend our days with! This makes our community strong, and it also allows it to be led with love and compassion.

In addition, our team of nurses, caregivers, culinary and lifestyles are hand selected based on their passion for helping seniors and the level of expertise in their fields. We are honored to have the team we do, and each of us are looking forward to meeting you and your loved ones! Please stop by and join us on a tour, lunch, or a short visit. You’ll instantly feel the Sodalis Difference. ...

I was extremely happy with the place and highly recommend it. I would recommend the place to talk to Nicole the supervisor for a tour. I knew it was a safe place for my mom. Provident is truly "there" for us!
I am so glad and relieved to have found Provident and their Respite Care team for my mom. The director is so knowledgeable and staff are beyond caring. I had a lengthy business trip in another state and could not take my mother with me. After much, much research and visiting various locations, Provident was our selection. They sent me pics and videos of her participation in fun activities as well as instantly having my mom (within seconds) return my calls upon my request. I loved hearing about her enjoyable days ( planting, exercising painting, etc). She also made wonderful friends. It's so reassuring to know Provident is there when we need the help.

Great Memory Care Facility
When my husband came to this facility he had just been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and was not himself at all. The staff was very caring and attentive to his needs. Olivia Wilder, NP of the facility kept me informed of his meds and health. The facility was always very clean. My husband really liked the food. After being there for six months we brought him home and is doing great. It was because of the care he received at Provident Buda that he is now home and doing well. Nicole the Director is very involved with the care of the patients. I highly recommend this facility.

Thank you for your lovely review! Even though the resident's stay here was temporary, we are pleased that he was able to recuperate and transition back home! Respite stays are a great way for residents to gain back strength after time in a rehabilitation facility. Thank you again for you review and we with you and your husband very well!

Nice country setting
They were very thorough in going over the details before we placed our loved one there, so we knew what to expect. The move-in was very well coordinated, and they got her settled in nicely. The staff were very competent, and the facility was kept clean. It was a nice atmosphere.

Our experience has been good. The staff has always been attentive, and my questions are answered quickly.
I think that the memory care unit is nice. Right now anyway, it's very small. They have maybe 10 residents total. So it's small enough for them to all be in the common area together, and it's kind of cozy. The staff are pretty much young girls, but they're all good. Some are sharper and quicker than others, but they're still all good. I do think they're understaffed and could use more help. The food is pretty decent. And the place is pretty clean. But especially with Covid, I know they don't have the time to disinfect every little thing every second. But they do make an effort. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

It is a very caring place for our parents
The community has been wonderful, the staff members are great and very considerate. We do not have to worry about our loved one there, they are taking great care off all her needs. Her diet is more limited so she is not able to eat all the meals but the food is very good. The value for our mother is a little expensive, but for our father who is in memory care the value is excellent.

Disappointing experience
The management was inept. They promised activities and level of service that were never followed through with. There were some wonderful staff who were not treated well or given necessary resources and support by management. They were understaffed for the needs residents. The most concerning thing was that they were several medications errors with multiple residents. Unless things have changed, I would not recommend placing a loved one there.

Greedy, and uncaring people
I’m writing this review to expose what greedy, uncaring people run this place. I was going to move my mother to the memory care facility. I put down our $500 deposit but unfortunately my mother passed away a week before we were going to move her in. I had written the deposit check several days prior to and they hadn’t deposited it. However, the day she passed I called them and they chose to cash the check that day. Once I realized the check had been cashed and cleared our bank I called them only to be told that our money would be refunded within 30 days. The 30 days have passed and I’ve tried to contact them several times only to get voice mail and no return calls. People that can take advantage of people in their worst times aren’t people that I would entrust my love ones to, I’m just glad my mother never had to experience that lack of caring.

The perfect place for my mom tucked away in Buda, TX!!
Moved my mother in April 2019....she LOVES it!! The facility is new, beautifully decorated, salon, lovely dining room, media room, library, patios and even a little chapel. The chefs are so good....they even make homemade breads and pastries! The staff is what makes this place so great!! They are kind, attentive and helpful. They truly care about the residents!!! They treat my mom like family, and she couldn’t be happier! Also, their rooms and bathrooms are larger than any of the other assisted living facilities that we looked at....and we looked at quite a few. And my mom LOVES the big walk in closet that you will not find at other places. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place!

Didn't have a warm atmosphere
I toured this facility. It’s a fairly new building and everything went well, however there were no openings at the time that I was looking to move my Mom in. I was able to see the dining area; it looked nice and had a set menu. The rooms were really nice and the furniture was included. The person that gave me the tour knew a lot about what the facility had to offer and answered all of my questions. The building looked clean, they talked about a few activities they could provide, and on the day of my tour they were even making cupcakes. The reason I didn’t move my Mom in, though, was because it didn’t feel like a very warm atmosphere and there were no openings available.

Mom is fitting right in
We chose this community for lots of reasons, but one was because they had lots of activities daily to keep mom as active as possible. They director told us they were going to make some changes to the patio area and we were pleased they did what they said they would do. They put in a sidewalk to make it easier for wheelchairs. The staff is caring and nurturing and communicates well the family. Always clean and nice smelling. They get 3 meals a day which is comforting. I would recommend this community.

Do NOT RECOMMEND BUDA SODALIS---or SODALIS--at all.
Terrible experience in the end. Monitoring in public areas so inadequate that my husband wound up in ER [Removed]. Due to severe Sundowning issues brought on by mismanaged medication regimen through a (recommended by Sodalis) hospice service, my husband was asked to leave 3 days before November--after I had prepaid $5250 for November.[Removed]. They refused to refund any of the November monies although he never spent a day in their care in November.

Great facility
I put my husband in Sodalis in February and have been extremely pleased with this facility. The staff is very attentive and friendly, always ready and willing to help when needed. Unusual situations
Moving my husband from one community to Sodalis Buda has been quite an experience for all of us. The place itself is very nice, a Grade A community for sure! Most of the time he is very happy there and the food is absolutely amazing. The staff have been very great and the CEO is currently trying to help resolve an issue that is current to him being at the community or having to move him. Since there are times that he doesn't understand why he has to be there he attempts to come home. The most recent incident happened a few nights ago when there was a full moon and most of the residents were suffering from sun downers. Since it was such a hectic time for the staff my husband cleverly left the place due to a faulty door. He was gone from 9-1AM and the cops are the ones who found him. I am hoping he will get to stay now that the door is fixed but we'll see what happens. Overall, the place is outstanding my husband is just eager to be home in those times of sun downing.

Thank you for sharing your experience. In response to this situation, a number of additional steps have been taken to insure the safety and security of our residents. All of our doors have been re-inspected and we have scheduled quarterly inspections to insure the Maglock system is always in working order. We have also added additional door alarms and an extra process step has been added to our shift changes in order to provide another layer of security. We are so pleased and thankful that we have been able to provide care for your husband. Thank you for your confidence in our care and your kind words.
