At Parkwood we made sure that we were building a total care community that would offer high-class service at a price that’s exceedingly affordable.</p> <h3>Our Community</h3> <p>Parkwood may be one of the most comfortable retirement communities in the Glendale area. Everything is beautiful and modern – from the building itself to our manicured lawns, the interior design, and all of the furniture and artwork. We have outdoor seating areas where you can sit and read, or relax with a friend or your beloved pet. You’ll notice that not only are our staff more than welcome to tend to our residents’ needs, but that this focused care translates to high morale amongst those who call Parkwood home. </p> <h3>Living Arrangements</h3> <p>Our building has private rooms for our residents where they can spend their days in relaxing solitude if they choose. There are different floor plans designed to give our residents options depending on the level of care they require. You can navigate which layout feels best for you, and remember that pets are welcome, too!</p> <h3>Onsite Activities</h3> <p>Both indoors and out, there are plenty of options at our community to keep you busy no matter what may suit your mood. It’s also a great place to simply sit and relax – you can always spend some time outside under a parasol, cooling down in the afternoon sun. Indoors we have a movie room to screen your favorite films, as well as a media room where you can watch the big game. There are other spaces that we treat as quiet reading rooms for those who would prefer a more relaxed setting. Holidays can be celebrated with your neighbors and visiting loved ones, who can experience Parkwood’s famous hospitality for themselves!</p> <h3>Dining</h3> <p>We have a beautiful dining room and kitchen where we serve our meals, and the portions are up to you – just ask for another serving! We have brand new dinnerware and strive to create a welcoming space. Daily specials are offered and we also have a solid favorites menu, where the most popular dishes are always available. We even offer room service if our residents decide they’d prefer the privacy of their own room, with snacks and drinks available during kitchen hours. Whatever your taste, Parkwood delivers healthy and delicious meals to suit it!</p> <h3>Personal Services</h3> <p>Many of our personal services are enough to make residents never need to leave. Parkwood has an on-site salon featuring a beautician and barber – these staff members make sure all of your personal grooming is taken care of, including trims for a seasonal summer style. If you want to get out for a bit, we provide complimentary transportation to medical appointments and routine visits, outside events, shopping trips, and restaurants. Full-service laundry is provided so you’ll never have to concern yourself with detergent or monitoring the wash cycle. And don’t worry about messes because Parkwood has a full cleaning service too.</p> <h3>On-Site Care</h3> <p>The care staff at Parkwood are fully trained and ready to help aid our residents with injections and monitor their health markers to tailor medication dosages. Staff are able to monitor oxygen levels and provide physical therapy services as well.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Parkwood is licensed as an <em>Assisted Living Home with Directed Care Services</em>. These terms are defined as follows:</p> <p><strong>Assisted Living Home</strong></p> <p>In the state of Arizona, an <em>Assisted Living Home</em> refers to a health care institution other than a hospital or a nursing care institution which provides resident beds or residential units, supervisory care services, personal care service, directed care services or health-related services for persons who do not need inpatient nursing care. This can include adult foster care, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services provided on a continuing basis.
