It is clean, cozy and comfortable, but most residents keep to themselves and there is not a lot to do. My mother would have hated it and wanted someplace nicer, more modern, with more youthful and intellectual activity options. For my family member, it's perfect. He doesn't like to socialize, keeps to himself, isn't interested in fancy, and doesn't need a lot of care. But his room is nice and private, he has a private bathroom, he has a great view of the hills, he isn't into food (but even he doesn't like the food), and it feels very cozy. It is way better than a residential home, which in my experience, are usually cluttered, not as clean, and have shared bathrooms. The staff interacts well with him and he likes it there just fine. However, when he got very sick (he has since recovered) and needed way more care, we entered him into hospice. They come onsite to help out and make sure he is getting what he needs. It is great that Park Place accepts hospice patients and he didn't have to move. But he is back to not needing much help and it's fine. I will say [names removed] were fantastic and worked with us on the pricing of additional care he needed temporarily to make it not prohibitive cost-wise. I love the two of them.
