The Highlands is clean, friendly, diverse in population and staff, attentive to individual needs of residents, and offers a wide variety of activities to keep residents involved. As a facility, it has the ONLY indoor swim pool in Leelanau county, which is open to residents and resident families. Two exercise areas have just about any machines/equipment one needs. Ice cream socials, coffee and donuts, happy hour . . . and music happens with weekly singalongs, piano concerts, and outside musicians visiting. The staff is local - key to consistency and presence. Pets are welcome.
