Mt. Bachelor Review
We had difficulties getting the staff in the annex to keep us informed when ever mom fell, wasn't eating, etc. She was malnourished and they didn't seem to think that was an issue. there was also a problem with "resident shopping" (what the staff called it) to the disappearance of personal items. I would recommend them still, but the family members will need to stay on top of things and be very proud active with the staff.

Great Place!
My Nana had lived here for a few years and she was exceptionally well taken care of. The care staff are very caring and their compassion shows through their work. My nana struggled with some behaviors during her dementia journey but the Mt Bachelor team seemed very knowledgeable about how to redirect her and creating interventions. Would definitely recommend

Its not what it used to be.
I had heard wonderful things about Mount Bachelor Memory Care so I was very excited to tour. However, I had a terrible experience. No one was at the front desk and the marketing lady could not seem to find any managers working. When we finally did, it turns out the resident care manager, the office lady and the administrator were all in the office with the door closed which we only realized when we heard them laughing loudly. The facility was dirty, many residents were in their pajamas and did not look well cared for. They were sitting in front of the tv when I toured. I will be taking my loved one elsewhere.

We really liked the facility and the lady who gave the tour. We met a sweet lady who lived there who was nice but [name removed] would have had to share a bathroom and that wasn't going to happen. That is the only reason we did not choose it.

Highly Recommended
Things are very good at Mt. Bachelor, so much better than the last facility my loved one was in. I'm very pleased with all the things that they offer here. Housekeeping is daily and they do well. They have a good variety of activities and also have family events. In fact, today they're having a Halloween Party with the residents and their families. The staff is overall like a fine tuned machine. They all have different jobs, but do their best to come together and work as a team. They really do try to keep up with the residents' needs. The executive director is awesome. She really stays on top of things and is always aware of what's going on in the facility. If there's an issue, I can go to her and she will address it immediately. She's just great. I would highly recommend Mt. Bachelor Memory Care to friends and family.

Great Community!
Times when we go visit and she hasn't changed her clothes often. She does dress herself, but believe staff does help at times just wish would mention to her to change more often. Pleased with food options, she does like the food. She is eating more than at her previous spot. She does great with coloring and art class as she was an artist and very talented so this program has been wonderful. She took first place in the contest. Staff is great with helping in all facets of the care.

An outsanding community
I love all of the staff there. They are very caring and take great care of my father in law. They have been very approachable throughout this pandemic with communication and have kept us up to date on what's going on with him and in the community, which has made us feel very comfortable. The staff have been very accommodating in caring for him and supporting him without us not being able to be there physically. The staff are just outstanding.

Finding mom's perfect fit
My mom is a high functioning memory care resident. And the staff is terrific at helping mom find her perfect fit. And they are being so accommodating and are placing her in the assisted living so she can thrive. The staff is very pleasant, mom is pleased with them. It is nice but the building has been under construction and it said 2 weeks but has been 2 months. I really appreciated a meeting we had with the head nurse and the activity director to see where mom is at in her stage. And they went over her medicine to see what she could eliminate. It is a lovely clean place. She eats the breakfast and lunch but doesn't like the dinner. They have tried to help mom in any way they can. I would recommend them if asked.

not what it seems
I was so disappointed in the service and care for my mother. During the short few months she lived here, she was miserable. When I first toured I was thrilled because the campus is beautiful And it seemed perfect but I was so disappointed. My mom always stayed in her room. Activities director never attempted to interact or bring her to activities, while care staff and director were always rude and condescending. I will NOT be recommending this place for anyone’s loved ones. There is real lack of compassion and experience caring for the elderly here.

Nice, clean facility
I toured this facility when I was trying to find a home for my husband and it's just beautiful. I don't know much about the staff, but the facility itself is new. When I toured, it was very clean and that was the draw. It was like being in a high end hotel. I wound up having to move him in somewhere else but it was only because of lack of availability.

Great place for loved ones.
The friendliness of the staff, and their love for my husband was so obvious. He is adjusting well and the staff was very open to any concerns I had and I feel they will take very god care of him there. It is peace to my mind to find a place that cares. They are trying to get him more involved in their activities and I believe they will succeed. He is well fed and knows his way around already. The building is new, the facility is light and bright and has lots of room for the guests to wander around and various places to participate in activities.

A Place for Mom has scored Mt. Bachelor Memory Care 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
