These events are expensive, poorly announced, require advance reservations, and take over the dining facility. Those residents who don't participate (a large number) aren't able to use the dining facility and have little to no options for food. We recently visited our good friend and the entire lobby was filled with residents seeking dinner with only a few bags of chips and some cut vegetables available. The dining room also, without warning, closes early for staff meetings. Coffee is hard to get. Poor lady has gone without meals at times.
