Experience so far
Overall it has been pretty good experience so far. Only issues we have had is with the food and activities. On the food, the menu items are unusual sometimes and it is just not that great. They have not been able to keep an activities director since my loved one has moved in here and it has been very inconsistent as well.

Much like any facility at this point there are staffing issues. Mom moved in [dates removed] the director/manager was gone and has never been replaced. They hired an activity coordinator she is gone, hired another not much better. Food is improving. If Mom presses her call button someone comes running. That gives me a ton of piece of mind. The head nurse [name removed] is a rock star. The help with showering is very good.

Do not send your loved one here
My mother and father lived here and the care was substandard. We were promised housekeeping, my parents room was always filthy. They had no activities that were also promised. It is next to impossible to find assistance when needed and when we did find an aide, they were usually in the break room on their phones. Not pleased with the care.

Really look before you leap
Many issues at this facility and administration from community director up to the chairman of the board want to do little if anything about them.
While there are some really great staff members, especially on the assisted living side, there are definitely rotten applies in the bunch. Night staff have been caught sleeping by residents and are leaving memory care residents unattended. Call buttons are not responded to in a timely fashion, some are just ignored.
The food is atrocious, is mostly warmed up frozen food with very little fresh fruit or vegetables and is frequently inedible. There are times where there are sparse helpings of food with no seconds and the residents leave the dining area hungry.
Frequent medication mistakes are made. There are not a lot of activities that are available to all residents and/or are relevant to all residents.
I would talk to several current residents before deciding to reside here.

Our Tour Experience
The facility was very nice. It was brand new, sparkly, and clean. It just didn't have many people there yet and felt kind of vacant and not very homey. I think they'll get there. It just wasn't there yet. I liked that it was 5 minutes from my house, and I liked the people I interviewed there. It was a bit more expensive, but not totally out of our price range. It just didn't have the super homey vibe we were looking for.

Yes we would recommend other to look at, the staff are very friendly and competent
The staff that is there are wonderful, they have done a great job given the circumstances but there is a high turnover rate outside of the day to day staff. The director is trying her best, but communication with the staff and families has started to lack. The life enrichment coordinator is fantastic and wonderful, she wears many hats there. We want them to improve, once stability is provided everything will fall into place.

The director, [name removed], was very engaging and very forthcoming with with advice on making our decision. The facility was very clean however, the individual rooms were quite small but the bathrooms were very big. Decisions yet to be made.

We are having a wonderful experience with my mother-in-law at Milestone in Stoughton. The staff has been very accommodating and responsive to her needs. a warm, friendly and caring environment with lots of activities. They truly work to make it a family.

We enjoyed the tour and feel it is modern, clean and well organized. We looked at Tall Grass which was a place my Dad felt was more like home, clean yet comfortable. We will continue to look though.

A good experience!
My parents are doing well since their move to Milestone Assisted Living. They went in at 2 different levels of care and the staff there have been able to accommodate them well. They are very open minded and help with whatever they can.

Best of the best!!
This community is excellent in every way, I highly recommend them to anyone looking! The place is kept so clean it's incredible. When the staff isn't doing anything, they just start cleaning. The meals are very good. They have a variety of activities for all of the residents to come together and interact. So far, there is nothing we feel they have to improve on.

Things seem to be going well for mom since moving to Milestone Assisted Living and Memory Care of Stoughton. The staff are doing a good job of caring for all of her needs. The community is brand new and immaculate throughout.

Good Experience For My Dad Here
It has been a good experience for us here with this community. It is a lovely community. everything is very well maintained and clean. They have a very good staff here, they are helpful and attentive. He is in good hands here. There are activities offered, he recently went blowing. The food is fair, they do serve well balanced meals. This is a community I would recommend, because I know he is being cared for well here.

Mileston Senior Living in Stoughton, WI
Lisa Ford - helped to settle my in-laws concerns about moving into a new facility. She went above and beyond and actually took a trip to Chicago and visited my mother-in-law in her current home. This really helped to calm and set the stage for a beautiful transition! Wonderful caring staff!
