I have given my honest opinion. Mebane Ridge is not honest with the family upon admission. We were told that our family member would get all the care needed with assessment by their nurse with level 3 supports. The care is lacking. The care is lacking as I see it for the majority of the residents in memory care. The residents are not monitored. The impression you get is that there is no care whether the residents live or die. ADL for my family member is almost nonexistent. No grooming, handwashing after using the bathroom and prior to eating. This is not sanitary. Staff refuses to take to the restroom as ordered by specialist. Member is encouraged to soil undergarments instead. On several occasions the thermostat has been turned down to 66 degrees in the family members room. The thermostat was turned down by staff even after the resident states that they are cold. Bed is not properly made up resident was sleeping under a comforter only until addressed. I could go on however I will sto

Excellent care. There's always room for improvement, but this facility is really up there. The staff are wonderful and the food is good. I'm happy overall with the level of care that they have shown. I would recommend this facility to others.

Our experience with Mebane Ridge was great. All of the staff, took very good care of our mother until mom's very end. The staff also guided us, when hospice needed to come in. Mebane Ridge was always very clean, always smelled nice, and the staff and administration was always very friendly. The location was good for us and the facility was a place, where we thought mom would be well taken care of and happy.

We spent about an hour at Mebane Ridge on our tour, which included a quick walkthrough. it just didn't seem like a good fit for us. The facility seemed a little bit more rundown than others we saw. I would have appreciated seeing a menu. We did see a list of activities, and those looked reasonable. We didn't see much staff in the memory unit, and they all seemed very busy. Maybe more of the staff was in the assisted living side. . .

Tour experience
When we showed up for our tour we were not on their schedule so someone else had to give the tour and I think they were unprepared. Overall the staff were very nice and we did really like the facility. They did not have any availability in assisted living (which is what we needed) so they wanted to move my loved one into memory care in hopes she could move to assisted living when a room opened up. Ultimately we just did not think that would be the best fit for our loved one and we really wanted her to engage and socialize with other residents.

The day to day staff and the nurses were great, but the management team was awful they would get negative stars. There is also no security, they only had one camera on the front door and that is it. We wish there was more security, but the community was kept very clean. They were just bought out by another company so hopefully they make improvements as needed.

A very positive move for my mom
My mother was totally against moving into Assisted Living, however she needed more support than I could give her in my home. So she agreed to at least look at options.
I involved her in the search process and it was my mom who identified Mebane Ridge as the place she wanted to live. She was very impressed with the staff she met prior to moving in and has only been more impressed since.
She requires minimal assistance, but has help whenever she needs it. She has a lovely spacious room which is now decorated exactly the way she wants it.
Best of all the staff have been very kind and caring, she calls them "her kids". Please note, NOT one resident has become infected with Covid, quite the accomplishment!
The only area of some disappointment is the food. The quality has improved, but my mother finds the meals hit or miss. She is a simple eater and finds most of the meals are very large and too spicy for her.

The Mebane Ridge Family lovingly cared for my Mom for two years. Mom loved living there. She so enjoyed the activities, the people, and the lovely grounds. Was everything done perfectly all the time no but whenever something wasn’t right great effort was made to fix it. It felt like home
The tour went fine and the staff were friendly. and it felt like home. The residents were super friendly and welcoming. The staff had a welcome basket waiting for her in her room. We chose this community due to the location and proximity to my house. The lay out of the building was easy to navigate.

Options for mom
We toured this community for care. The staff did not communicate very well. The community was clean and they do have nice cities that are offered to the residents. We would suggest that other families might be happy with this community if they tour the community for themselves. We can not recommend it due to we did not feel that the staff were friendly on the tour that we had for care

Positive community!!
My mom seems to be enjoying her stay so far at this facility and has made a smooth transition. I am pleased to see the staff are really trying to make an effort to get to really get to know her on a personal level and make her as comfortable as can be. She has had no complaints about the food and seems to be slowly getting involved in some of the activities throughout the week. Overall we are pleased.

GREAT COMMUNITY !!!!!!
Although my mom has only been there about 10 days, I have been very impressed. Most importantly, mom seems to like it. Every staff member I have communicated with so far, seem to be genuinely concerned and involved. In stark contrast to mom's previous community, the medical staff gave immediate attention to her list of medications, reassessing need and dosage within the first 36 hours !!!!! The icing on the cake is, the community itself is quite lovely, much homier than prev community. Rooms are spacious and bright.

I found this facility to be very clean and the staff was very informative and friendly. I loved the open design of the Memory Care unit. It looked like no matter where the residents were (except in their rooms) they were visible to the staff. That was very important to me because my Mom tries to get out of her wheelchair and she cannot stand on her own.
