Bad choice
Marla vista assisted living on military is not the place to work nor should u send your love ones to live there. Staff suck and they lazy and don’t care about the residents. They never have enough staff to help the residents. The ones who can’t do much for themselves get treated the worst. Management is awful and very disrespectful and never handles business. Marketing puts on a front while doing tours of the buildings. The facility is dirty especially memory care. If you ask me the place needs to be shut down. The food is trash and keeps the residents and staff sick and [removed]. Be aware of this place they definitely put on a good show. 0/10 rating

A definite place to check out
The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions. They are great with my loved one and he can be difficult at times. They call me if anything happens. The place is always clean. They do the laundry. The move in went as well as one could expect. It is hard for them and hard for me. They were very encouraging to me. You can visit any time, day or night. The meals smell great, look appetizing and are very good. They have an excellent chef. You can eat with your loved one if you want to. I would recommend this facility. It's an older facility with 20 private rooms, although it seems very homey.

Relaxing reassurance
My family and loved one have had a wonderful experience with the community. The staff have all been great. They are helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. Everyone is friendly. There are meals and activities provided to the residents. Overall, we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

A Caring Community
The facility itself needs some updating, which is ongoing. We liked the smaller environment. We looked at several other assisted living facilities and they just seemed too large for our mother. Marla Vista is more intimate. She loved it. Especially the staff. I would recommend to others.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought the experience was okay but it was just not the place for our loved one. We did like that they were honest about being short staffed but it was definitely not what we were liking. For someone who would be a little bit more sane and less behavioral it might be better.

My tour review
The people were good to talk with and they showed me the operation of the community. I was considering this community but I changed my mind when I found another community closer to where my mom was from and familiar with. The tour guide did a great job and had a lot of information. They have a bus to take people on tours and to services that they needed.

Favorite assisted living place.
We put my mom at Marla Vista and she loved it. We where amazed at all the caring staff that worked there. And the place was always clean and made you feel at home. If I where to recommend a place for someone to go it would be here. A huge thank you to [name removed] for assuring us that our mom would be well taken care of. My mother [name removed] was very happy here. She always said the food was good and maybe they feed me a little to much. But I loved it here she would always tell us. And she said the staff always treated her with respect.

Marla Vista Assisted Living is admired for its beauty, charm and space. Common areas include a gorgeous dining room with vaulted, pine wood ceilings, a cozy sitting area, living room, card and TV room (great for private family parties), library, beauty shop and large, sunny craft and activity room. The community is complete with a one acre fenced in back yard and two large patio areas offering sunshine and gardening opportunities. We do wish you well and appreciate the opportunity to help you along this journey.

We very much enjoy the family events.
The residents are given many opportunities to socialize and to get their exercise.
The food is adequate except for the pork soup.
The laundry procedure needs some attention.
Over all we are satisfied and would recommend Marla Vista to others.

Overall I'm Satisfied!
I feel that the staff at Marla Vista are kind and helpful. They are patient/understanding and always try to do their best. The resident call lights are answered pretty promptly most of the time. The food is satisfactory 90% of the time and you can have as much as you would like. They try to have plenty of activities to keep you busy. The residents who live here are friendly and thoughtful. Staff and residents are accepting of you just the way you are. You are not treated any differently if you have a handicap. Overall, I would recommend Marla Vista for someone who is looking for an assisted living facility.

Very happy with our decision
Extremely professional and respectful staff and processes. Helped me with every aspect of moving my mom there, what to expect, tips on what to say/not say, what to bring, when a good time is to make the decision. Friendly Staff!
The Marla Vista Assisted Living & Memory Care could use some improvement. My mother feels that the activities offered at this community have become very repetitive and could use some variety. The meals are balanced but have been lacking in taste considering they got a new chef. The staff has been very sympathetic.

Marla Vista is very flexible
My mom had to move into Marla Vista a week early due to emergency circumstances. Marla Vista was very accommodating to her moving early. While expensive, they offer round the clock nursing care and lots of activities and private rooms so you do get your money's worth.
