Lighthouse Senior Living at Rose Manor LLC
It's complicated. I wouldn't say we liked it per se. I gave Lighthouse 4s on my scorecard because it's a well managed, and overall a very good, facility. But my mom had a lot of problems--agitation, anxiety, etc.--and the last year of her life was very difficult and painful for us. She was gently expelled from LH for a series of disruptive incidents.

Warm, friendly and attentive
Besides being relatively close to most the family, It had the friendliest staff, a homey feel and the residents were engaged if able.Activities were planned but we never saw them. We just felt Dad would be more engaged at Lighthouse. He is not a person who wants a 5 star type place. Price was a little better but not a whole lot. It was also all on one floor and that makes it easier for the residents. On a personal level, it is small enough for dads family that it did not take long for staff to know us. They are all always smiling.

Our experience with Lighthouse Senior Living
The staff are very friendly, but when it comes to these kinds of care, that is not enough. It was hard to get good and detailed information, they keep passing it along to another person. Weekends were worse, because they are not the regular staff. I don't know if I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

It's a very beautiful and clean facility. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the days are packed with activities. Quality is generally high. The facility is under new management and a new owner. I literally haven't even had any correspondence from the new owners or managers to tell me who is taking peoples place that have left. It's a little bit of a cluster right now. We definitely have had some problems even with the old staff making sure that finance stuff happens correctly and that medicines are set up correctly and shower days and things. It's kind of been a lot harder than I thought it would be for what this facility seemed like it was. Overall, I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

Loved one, seems to likes the food, and is happy. They offer a lot of activities. They are taking good care of my loved one, and I am happy with the care that they are recieving. I picked Lighthouse because was easier to work with, and they were very accomodating.

I toured Lighthouse Senior Living and had a nice first impression. I know there isn't much they can do about it; but as you walk down the hall, more odors become apparent than other places we visited. We chose another community because Lighthouse wasn't a good fit, and it's proximity to family was further away than the community we chose.

This community was not community orientated and felt more like a hospital with medical carts in the hallways. There also was a high sales pitch which was uncomfortable to me. The community was also older and could have used some updates.

There is not enough kind words for me to say about the Lighthouse and their employees than they have given me the "Warm and Fuzzy's" from the 1st time I spoke with them on the phone! The best place to be
I would recommend this community for your loved one. When I went there two of my loved ones also had family there and the first thing that they told me is that we were going to love it. Just to have that feeling and to be at ease made my day. The staff are excellent with the residents and go above and beyond.

So glad we found Lighthouse!
Just want to let you know how insanely happy our family member is living at Lighthouse! He told us this weekend how much he loves it there. But I have to say, I think the best thing about it is… The food! He cannot stop raving about Chef [name removed] and the wonderful, delicious food! Today he said that the cornbread is as good as his sister used to make and that it tastes like cake! But there are other wonderful things, too… Like the warm and friendly welcome he has received from everyone on the staff, the beautiful grounds for walking or sitting outside reading on a pretty day... and I’m sure much more to be discovered in the upcoming days and weeks. It’s been a wonderful transition for him, and our family deeply appreciates everything!

Beautiful, clean, friendly.
I toured Lighthouse twice, both times with friends who were looking for their moms. It's very pretty, clean, looks like they keep up with the decor and furnishings. The people we interacted with all were friendly and the people who live there were out and doing things (not like the couple of other places we saw). A man who lives there, who was sitting in the dining room when we stopped there said, "the food is great, thumbs up."
Also, my friend said that the rates were comparable to the other places she looked at, but it was much nicer (I didn't go to all of them with her).
This is where I found the places that we looked at, so I thought I'd come back and write a review.
