Wonderful
I cannot say enough good about the care my mother received. .[name removed] became like family. She kept us informed on our Mother’s food intake, medications. Her staff followed her lead and took care of my mother like it was their mother. I would highly recommend this location. I visited every week day and was welcomed like a family member. I could always call [name removed] and she knew about all residence and what was going on. My mother is no longer with us but I am so happy she had the care from such loving and professional people.

They do a great job, very attentive. They are very good at communicating with me regarding her care. I wish there were more activities. I love that is a Christian center. I would recommend them to anyone. The care is wonderful. I think my mom is doing better today because she is in a smaller center. I think if she was in a big place she would get lost in the shuffle.

I am very impressed with the care and genuine service. For my mother's personal needs, mom follows a very healthy meal plan. I have observed improvement in her weeks earlier than anticipated. She appears to be happier also trying to feed herself. And she has been using the bathroom once the staff places her there. She smells good! Cleanliness is next to Godliness, sterile environments, love the manager. Very professional. Shows love.

This care facility is one of the best I have ever seen. The home is extremely clean! Resident rooms are large. The manager is very concerned about each resident as if they are her own family members. The caregivers love each resident and treat them with true kindness and respect. Food is very nutritious and my father loves every nutritious and my father loves every meal. My father was happy to be there the minute he walked in. I can not thank them enough!

My father is in this facility. It is very clean and the workers are very friendly and caring. The food is very good and they make sure it is nutritious. They are also very conscious of my father's health and he has shown much improvement since living here. He is also very happy here.

This was a little house in Dearborn. ...
This was a little house in Dearborn. There was just one older lady, trying to take care of the two residents that they had at the time. She was trying to cook and clean and take care of the residents. I just didn't think there was enough care there for my loved one. The house was clean, and the lady was nice, it just wasn't a good fit for us.

A Place for Mom has scored Houston Special Needs Center 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
