As an RN, I once worked in LTC as a charge nurse, and I'm impressed with how the caregivers handle unexpected situations. The caregivers work both sides. This has its pros and cons. But the \"seasoned\" workers do a good job in orienting the new ones to working with dementia residents. Activities are provided for them daily. They can also attend music programs, parties and other events within the facility. Staff and management open to suggestions, and resolve issues in a timely manner. I wouldn't hesitate to have my loved one in this unit.
