Within a couple hours, [name removed], Care Coordinator at Golden Years, called me. We set up an appointment soon after the call. \n\nMom was not happy about the prospect of having a caregiver in her house. [name removed] was very gentle in her conversation with mom and was able to smooth her feathers. We were all set to move forward with a great experienced caregiver. \n\nI thought Mom’s LTC insurance would certainly help pay for the caregiving services, but our claim was denied because my 93 year old mom with moderate dementia was not deemed to really need such care. Very frustrating! \n\nMom can’t afford to pay for the caregiving service without her LTC plan’s assistance, so I had to cancel our contract with Golden Years.
