I much appreciate the opportunity to write this review. My friend resided at Farmington Square Gresham (FSG) Memory Care for about 1 1/2 years before he recently died. Throughout his stay, the staff were wonderfully kind and supportive, and even moreso during his last weeks of life. In short, FSG hires quality staff. I communicated with my friend's wellness coordinator via text. I got calls whenever my friend experienced an event, even for minor events. The administrators, from beginning to end, were caring, helpful and honest. I am deeply grateful to both staff and administrators.

Welcome to Farmington Square at Gresham — where we are ready to assist you with daily living and help keep you happy, healthy, and connected! We are located in central Gresham, Oregon with close proximity to area shopping, restaurants, and parks. It is our goal to support residents socially, emotionally, and physically while always helping them retain as much independence as they can.

They need to be more aware of what's going on. And they should have cameras.T he people are nice but they don't have enough workers there, and the food is terrible. Overall, we picked this community because of the cost, and location.

I had a ft tour with [name removed] and she was on time and so informational and answered all my questions
I am considering moving my mother here and after all the interaction with staff and the tour I am so excited for the move for my mom. It’s so quaint and homey feeling and I feel she will get the one on one she requires. The rooms look so updated and clean with good lighting. I was very impressed from start to finish with my experience

Not happy
My mom has been in a memory care building at Farmington square in Gresham since June .
My biggest complaint is that she has this heater/air conditioner on the wall that looks like a window unit. It is loud and my mom has dementia so she doesn’t understand that if she turns it off her room will get very cool . No central air in the bedroom if a memory care building ? Really ??? She unplugs it every day beause it’s noisy .
She didn’t get bathed for weeks because she thinks she can handle it herself ( she never wants to shower and honestly it’s dangerous for her to shower by herself ) they won’t force her which I understand so I make sure I get her showered at least once a week There is one bathtub in the building and it’s being used for extra clothing storage There’s really no way to wash her hair in the building she lives in I tried to wash her hair in the shower and she cried and was traumatized . I’m beyond frustrated. They don’t fix anything and this is just the beginning

A good fit for mom
I needed space quickly to move my mom about 5 years ago. I am happy to say Farmington was a very good fit for her immediate needs and her decline into full memory care. The staff is very attentive to her and makes every effort to engage, keep her clean and healthy. Farmington has done an amazing job in very challenging times. My only peeve is in communications.
1) Anytime someone calls it comes from a different # and that # isn't registered as belonging to Farmington. In this age of constant solicitation calls it means I have to answer any call that appears to be local to their location.
2) There have been several instances where shift change results in the next person on shift, who is intending to help doing something that does not align discussion I had with someone on the previous shift resulting in more work for everyone involved.
I would recommend Farmington Gresham to anyone in a similar situation. I believe they care for my mother as a person as well as a client.

Management Rocks & Nurses Very Helpful - facility super clean too!
So far my experience with Farmington Square Greshem have been positive. I had to put my uncle into a nursing home quickly because of housing issues, and they accommodated us quickly. During his first week he had medication problems and he had to go to the ER then he was admitted to the hospital, and management brought his items to the hospital when I needed them.
Also when I arrive everyone is always cheerful in the office. When I call, communication is thoughtful and informative from office staff. And thank you to the staff that helped me with all of my Amazon orders, and helping with recycling boxes.
I have met some great caregivers that treat my uncle with care. His room is clean, and the common area is always clean and feels homely. This makes me feel comfortable that he is safe and sound.

A great weight has been removed from my shoulders, and I sleep without worry. I am so happy that my mom in her aging brain and body can be comfortable, well fed, safe and stimulated by varied activities.
One thing I notice is that all the residents are friendly. I think (in my mind) that that means they are not "stressing". That's a big deal to me.

Disappointing experience
I only kept my mother in this facility for less than two months. It didn't work out for her. The staff was very kind and caring but they are stretched far too thin to provide the care and observation that was promised. Bathing was one issue. Showers are given twice weekly. If they can't get it done, it is just skipped until the next scheduled time. Incontinence supplies were paid for and never provided, although the amount was refunded after I requested it. My mother is not a very cooperative person and would not ask for help, but there was no monitoring at regular intervals if her Depends were dry.

My husband [Removed]lives in the known house, it’s very nice, clean and nicely setup for all the residence. [Removed]gets excellent care from the staff, I see him daily, and the staff are very loving and caring. They always have his room clean and he is appropriately dressed. The meals are wonderful, always well balanced and nice portions with a dessert! They have activities daily. They have a beautiful courtyard that I still with [Removed]daily. Everyone seems very happy there and [Removed] is very happy there. He gets lots of attention from staff. I love this place they try to do whatever you want or need. Great people! I highly recommend this place. (My husband has dementia and had broken hip when he came here)

Farmington Square at Gresham
We felt good going into Farmington initially, but since moving my loved one in, there have been a lot of discrepancies between what we were told would happen and what actually does happen. While the building is brand new and services such as laundry and cleaning are included in the base price, The staff is difficult. They can be unresponsive, sometimes rude, and the food is not appealing at all. Overall, the quality of care here seems low, but we are afraid that moving my loved one elsewhere will do more harm than good.

I LOVE this place!
My husband is here currently and everything is going very smooth. He has dementia and right now he’s getting help with physical therapy and is improving slightly. The facility has a beautiful courtyard and my husband and I take strolls around there almost every day. The staff is absolutely wonderful and I LOVE them! They are very, very caring, and they look after my husband very well. I’m here every day for about 3 hours so I see everything that goes on and they just take great care of him. His room is always clean, they change him in a timely manner, they feed him, and they’re just a really loving staff. I appreciate them a lot and I know they work hard. The facility is SO clean, too! They empty the garbage cans even if there are only 2 things in them. I think they may even go overboard, they’re cleaning all the time. They’re really on top of everything. The housekeeping person will dust the rooms once a month and the facility doesn’t have any sort of smells, which is so nice. Every time I’m there, they offer me food, and even though the food looks very good, I just don’t usually take part. It’s always portioned out correctly, though, and they keep it very well balanced. Plus there’s always dessert! Despite the fact that they did not have a great review when I was initially looking, I took a chance and they’ve been really nice. Management has meetings with the residents every 90 days or so to make sure everyone is happy and to gather any feedback or constructive criticism about what they could be doing better. I’m just thankful that they were able to take him in and take care of them the way they have been. I really love this place. In fact, I like it so much, and everyone knows I do, that my own family is already referring people!

One Floor Living
I looked at Farmington while exploring assisted living options for my mother. The place was nice, but it should be noted that the facility only has one floor of living. My mother needs to be above the first floor for safety, security, and for her own personal comfort. Even though we did like the place, we knew my mother would not be comfortable there because of the one floor living situation.

A Quick Move In and Settling In
The community is very efficient and the experience has gone well for my mom who is settling in. The move into the community went very, very well, especially for how much we were pressed for time. They moved in the furniture and we got her right in. They have activities for the residents and she is trying some every now and then. Since she can't fully hear well it may be a little hard for her. As for the meals, she has not complained about what she is eating.
