Danbury was selected out of 5 facilities we looked at. It was nice to bring her furniture, pictures and decorations so she’d at least be surrounded with things from home.She was bed bound and unable to participate in the activities. We enjoyed she received holy communion every week. The food was not appetizing. An aide also threw out my mom’s dentures. She’d take them out and obviously when removing her plate they were thrown away. There was no way they could be replaced. There were good pcs, but one lied to my brother. He said no one had been in to check on mom for 5 hours. She lied and said she’d been in twice, but he hadn’t left the room. We were vigilant mom had 2 visitors, at times 1 every day. The care staff is understaffed. Nurses were great, Cap City was awesome.
