Creekside Village review
The price went up <fee removed> at the one year mark. The food is mostly reheated frozen food, often hot dogs, pizza and other high fat, high sodium foods. The grounds are not fully wheel chair assessable. Lots of safety risks. There is no back up generator for the electricity so when the electricity went out last winter, there was no elevator for two days people could not get to food. There was no one there on staff to help get food to people for the first dinner deliver flashlight or things people might need or check on people. No plan in place. The fire alarm just goes off and no one knows what to do. People just stay in their room. There's no evening secretary or staff on duty so if there's an emergency, you have to rely on EMTs to come to into the building. Lucky for me I do have a set of building keys. The field trip activities are not assessable for people who cannot climb stairs.

My experience at Creekside Village
Overall experience has been great. We looked at approximately a dozen places, and this definitely was the best choice. Very clean. All apartments are cleaned once a week. This is one of the strongest points. ALL of the staff, both office and support, are very pleasant and supportive. Also, many are long-term employees. Care services not applicable, since this is a senior apartment complex and not an assisted living. Some residents have care givers come to their apartment. Meals are excellent. Most residents have to watch their weight. There are 3 cooks here, where most places have trouble keeping one. There are many weekly game sessions, 2-3 weekly shopping trips in the van, a Friday van trip to different locations. The residents have also started some other activities. Excellent value. This was the most inexpensive facility we visited. Also, the grounds are very nice.

Great facility, very happy
Everyone is friendly. Lots of activities/active residents. Management is open to residents starting new groups/activities. Food is good. My MIL is lactose intolerant so her only complaint is some meals have limited dairy free options (eps the desserts.) Many artist residents who enjoy displaying their work in the on-site gallery.

Feels Like Living in a Mansion
The grounds at Creekside Village are nice and provide a nice walking path around the building. There is access to the building at multiple points around, so if walking the full path is too much, the residents can cut through. The meals are fine, sometimes my loved one is frustrated that lunch is always left overs from the prior dinner. It would be nice if breakfast was included. Sometime dinner is not offered if there is a special lunch. That makes it hard when she is left without an option for dinner. The live entertainment is nice. The living room lobby is wonderful for connecting with other residents. The staff is friendly and [name removed], the leasing agent, is so personable and pays attention to how residents are coping long after they sign the lease. It would be nice if there was staff 24 hours. When my loved one locks herself out of her apartment she has to call me to let her in when staff is not there. If she also forgets her phone, she will be out of luck. Overall my loved one is happy there and our family feels welcome.

I love living here
I have lived at Creekside Village for about 7 years. It is a nice, friendly place to live. The residents and staff are easy to get aquainted with, and helpful. The grounds are pretty and we have many resident ducks for the most part of the year, especially when the creek is full. Our wonderful chefs feed us well and many activities and field trips are offered. Stop by and take a tour. Nice place.

Fabulous
My mom lived at Creekside Village Retirement until her homegoing. The day we brought her there to see Creekside it was an immediate we will take it. It was warm cozy and friendly. I liked the fact mom had a storage room so big she had the door removed and she used it for her office. The staff was always kind to me. The last day I was there a lady had fallen in her apartment and she was yelling for help. I immediately shared with her that I was going for help. The response of the staff was quick and the people were so kind and courteous to the situation. The food is great there. I didn't get to meet a lot of the chefs but Walt and Levi were always friendly and very helpful. I am thankful mom was taken care of well. A special thank you to [name removed] who went above and beyond to help us with mom's needs.

Mom has found a new community
Mom is very happy over here at Creekside Village. It is an older building but very well kept. It have a very comfortable and homey setting. All staff are extremely friendly as well as the residents, mom fits right in. Mom has been doing all sorts of activities, they have a ton offered. The food is really good, but they have started charging for breakfast which is a big of a disappointment. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

Would recommend with great central location and good community
They are a great value, compared to other similar facilities. They have a nice staff. Great, central location. The food has a lot of variety. The apartments are updated. Only area that needs any improvement is they need to offer more activities and work at getting the residents more engaged.

Best community.
It is fantastic to live here. Food is awesome. It's pet friendly and lots of places to walk your dog. I have a beautiful apartment with a creek side view. I used to live in another community, so I had a situation where I could compare. Everything about Creekside is better. I pay less for a one-bedroom than my studio at the other community I used to live in. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.

[name removed] was superb in setting up our visit and a big plus was the marvelous piano concert we were able to attend! During the intermission we were able to view two apartments shown by the activities director as [name removed] was at her brother’s memorial service. All the staff was friendly and jovial as well. [name removed] kept in touch with me and if the closet and storage space had been larger and a garage provided, this might have been home.

A Place for Mom has scored Creekside Village 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
