She is happy there, having fun and making friends. She is no longer isolated like she was living south of town. The cleanliness must be a 5 because she's always been about hospital clean. She's shared no negative comments with me about cleanliness. She relates interactions with staff and residents to me frequently. Staff is always positive and caring. Most residents are great. Anything she needs done in her apartment, they are up there immediately to do it. She is also pleased with the weekly cleaning and laundry services. Having her bed made for her with the clean sheets is a huge help. She appreciates the variety of foods available. She has not said anything negative about the quality. They have movies twice a week and these have been moved up to her floor. She also loves doing the jigsaw puzzles. She has attended the Bible study a few times, although she hasn't commented about it recently. My opinion is that she could use one more activity. Maybe a monthly sing-along which is good for helping people with their memories. Based on what I saw when doing my research, she is getting her money's worth there for a assisted living facility. She's in a studio apartment, which is perfect for her since she is a minimalist with belongings.

My brother at College View Manor for months.
My brother has been a resident at College View Manor for only 2 months.
He likes the facility and his apartment very much. The rent covers his apartment, restaurant style lunch and dinner daily, free use of laundry on each floor, cleaning of the apartment weekly, and free transportation by appointment within then Joplin area.
The people that live within facility seem quite happy and active. The food is delicious and the kitchen staff is most accommodating.
The administrative staff is quite capable and cares about the people living in this community of residence. The facility allows cats and small dogs. Many of the residents have pets. I believe that my brother will be quite happy living at College Burw Manor.

My experience at College View Manor has surpassed my wildest imagination of excellent care and assistance.
I recently moved from Rhode Island to Missouri with my two pug. I leased an apartment in Webb City, Missouri. I planned to live independently and travel the country pretty much as I pleased. Unfortunately, I encountered a multitude of symptoms and was very ill. I determined I needed to seek medical attention for a quick fix for my medical condition. I sought medical attention at an Urgent Care Center, thinking I would be given medications and sent home to my apartment in Webb City. It was determined that I had a blood sugar above 600, an excessive life threatening blood pressure and in atrial flutter/fibrillation. It became apparent I needed a place where I could be observed. Thank goodness for College View Manor. They have met my every need. The staff is so friendly, courteous and caring. There are an abundance of activities and the food is great. I feel secure and simply love it here. My apartment meets all of my needs. I would highly recommend College View Manor to anyone.

New Resident Experience
She feels safe. She finds everyone to be nice, staff and residents. She had fun yesterday doing jigsaw puzzles with other residents. I can't remember any other time in my life that she said she had fun. She's made a new friend with another lady living there. When she had trouble with her toilet and what she thought was her TV, someone came right up and fixed the toilet and another showed her how to flip the switch to get electricity to her TV. She likes being on the 4th floor as neighboring buildings can't look into her window. She's had no complaints to me about anything there. I hope it stays that way.

Our Experience at College View Manor
My loved one was a resident at College View Manor for a few years. This facility is very neat and updated. The food was outstanding at first, but declined drastically during Covid. Our only issue was with housekeeping, it could have been better.

The staff is friendly, caring, compassionate. They are professional while maintaining a "familial" quality. They treat the residents and their families like their own & truly seem to care. I feel at ease knowing that my parents are in such a wonderful place & surrounded by caring staff.
The facilities & amenities are top-notch. If there is ever a maintenance concern, it is addressed within 24 hours. There are numerous activities & outings to keep the residents engaged & active.

They love it there. The staff keeps a good eye on them and if they don't show up on time for dinner, they will call them. It would be nice if they offered a fish option on Fridays. Other than that it's working great, they love it there.

No finer home than College View Manor
In July 2009, my mom had a health situation which required me to move her from her home to a new residence where she still had independence, but not the responsibilities of a large residence to care for.
Through her trust officers, I was directed to visit College View Manor as a possible "new home". A miracle had been answered, for when I arrived for the initial visit, I felt like here, mom would be "home".
I brought her over the next day to view the two units available and she was in awe! We selected a unit on the ground floor with an outside entrance and patio so she would still be able to converse with the birds and nature daily.
This was the best place I could have ever moved mom to. She was able to be independent, yet had the friendship of all the residents. Puzzles galore, great meals, attentive and personable staff and great Halloween costume contests every year.
Unfortunately in May of this year, I had to move her closer to me here in Florida as her health was deteriorating to requiring a level of care in the "assisted" category.
How I wish there was a College View quality here in Assisted Living facilities. In Joplin it wasn't about the money which is what it is all about in Florida.
If ever a recommendation is needed for the friends and staff as well as the overall College View Manor, I have only incredibly positive words to express my gratitude for the care, loving and friendship everyone devoted to my wonderful mom.
