<p>Brookdale Sikes Lake’s dementia-trained team understands the ins and outs of memory care and assists residents with varying abilities and cognitive levels. The Clare Bridge program, for example, is used to help residents build meaningful relationships and find purpose. Through gentle guidance and reminders, residents can find support in daily activities that help them flourish, even in the advanced stages of dementia. Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and managing medications is provided as needed. <p>Brookdale Sikes Lake is a <em>Type B assisted living facility</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
