The Treasure Valley is filling up quickly with people moving from larger population cities, and high tax States such as California. I have spoken with many transplants from California and other over populated cities and listened to their concerns; this is what I have learned.
Most of these good folks have grown weary of over population and an ever increasing tax burden draining their retirement resources. Furthermore, they have legitimate concerns with the increased crime rates and strain on the infrastructure, traffic, and related community services. According to Forbes..."Boise, Idaho and the surrounding metropolitan area is the fastest growing city in the nation for 2018..." 'Forbes cites the region's increasing population, a general hiring spree by employers and the region’s ever-increasing home values.' "Boise’s population grew by over 3 percent last year – a growth rate higher than any other major metropolitan area. As for home prices, their meteoric rise of over 11 percent last year also helped propel the Ada County locale to the top of the list." Unfortunately, this growth has increased the tax burden and raised rent and property values higher than at any time in Ada, and Canyon Counties history. And yes folks, the increase in population and traffic congestion in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell reminds me of the big cities in California. Thank heaven the zoning requirements in Gem County prohibits urban sprawl and overpopulation.
I am a licensed cosmologist, and I make 3 home cooked meals a day. We also enjoy dining out. Furthermore, we enjoy outdoor activities, boating, camping, fishing, as well as shopping, movies, etc. You are encouraged to participate in these activities.
Our certified family home, established in Emmett in 2007 offers a family setting in a beautiful country environment only a short scenic 20 mile drive to the Capitol city of Boise Idaho. Emmett, Idaho located in Gem County is a friendly small town, boasting a population of roughly 7000 residents. We enjoy good restaurants. an old-time and absolutely charming family owned movie theater and a vibrant community. We are handicap accessible and have two private rooms available. We require a thirty day notice and are currently looking for private self pay clients.
