We chose Bickford of Cedar Falls because it was close by our home and we had taken dad here for respite care in the prior years when we were gone so he was comfortable with it. It is a very nice facility and I would recommend them to anyone looking.

a wonderful community and they care very much about their residents
Our loved one always said that they had good meals and even though he did not take advantage of the activities they did have plenty to offer. He really liked it there and the value for cost is good.

I would recommend this community for your loved one. The staff were very good and very friendly. I was pleased with this community. They do have activities however, my loved one does not participate in them.

Our family was able to have an in person tour, and at a time we had a loved one living at Bickford Cedar Falls, and the whole tour and facility was a positive. However, another community we were looking at offered a much better cost for the quality of care being given.

Small and wonderful community
The community offers levels of care which my dad needed. It is a small and wonderful community in which our dad feels comfortable and a part of. The caregivers are friendly and always kind. They really love my dad and he likes them a lot. He seems very happy there. He has gained weight and enjoys the food. The physical therapists have worked with him and he has improved and can now walk again. His apartment is small but nice and he has his own furniture there which is good for him. When I talk to him on the phone, he sounds really good and happy.. Bickford offered our family peace of mind because we don't have to worry about him like we used to. We know that he is being well cared for and that he is getting the care there he so deserves.

This community is hard to beat.
The food is good and they offer a variety of choices. They are attentive to the residents needs and likes. The staff are friendly and helpful. The activities coordinator is wonderful. Housekeeping does a good job and they also take care of mom's laundry. The community is very nice and well kept. The community is one level and they have an outdoor courtyard. I would recommend this community.

Bickford is the answer for our concerns
Our mother was diagnosed with severe stage dementia/alzheimer requiring 24/7 care. We wanted a place specializing in memory care and would give her an environment of comfort, safety and love. We looked at several facilities in her area and realized Bickford met our needs. Our mother is happy there and the staff is wonderful. I live out of state and get frequent updates from staff consistent with what my siblings who live there tell me .
I love the patients are not locked away in a wing. They have the opportunity to go anywhere in the facility because it is small (42 apartments), the staff knows all the patients, and there are alarms on all the doors to keep patients from walking away. Also visitors must be buzzed in by staff. Bickford is definitely the answer for our needs/concerns!

Welcoming, friendly staff!
We're very pleased with how things have turned out at Bickford of Cedar Falls! My loved one was very reluctant to move, but needed some help after a fall. After just a few weeks here they really won her over and she didn't want to go back to living on her own! Everyone here is very nice, welcoming, and always ready to help. They were really there for us throughout the whole process, and always answered any questions we had. The facility is well kept and clean, and I also think they do a great job with the food. The meals are made from scratch!

Bickford did their best.
Bickford did their best. Our loved one is VERY difficult and demanding. Everything was clean, the staff was good, and they worked very hard to take care of her while she was there. This just wasn't a good fit for our loved one. It's a good place.

Very nice place!
They've done a great job overall at Bickford Cottage! They really went out of their way to help us make the arrangements and get our loved one moved in in a timely fashion. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff are all very friendly caring. They take great care of the residents, and they seem to have plenty of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained!
