There are lots of staff in the building. They have activities, a nice backyard and enclosed patio for fresh air. The rooms are nice overall. Rent amounts are based on patient levels of care, and the level they put my Mom at and the care they supposedly give for the price, is not true. When I went in person they barely checked on her all day if she is in her room, yet state 30 min checks on her assessment. \n\nShe is paying for level 4 care, and is not needing nor receiving level 4 care. \n\nAlso, my mother will ask for help with things and they will either put it off or usually forget altogether and I have I message the house manager. I live out of state so this is a concern since I can't always check on her in person. \n\nSome Staff are not very personable, they talk amongst themselves and don't engage really with patients or the patients family unless we talk to them first. I have been very happy with the care she receives there. I had worried about the \"fit\" for mom since memory issues were not our biggest concern at the beginning . But we both grew to love the residents and staff. The building is very nice and very clean. Mom's room is generously sized and fits a bed, lounge chair, dresser, wardrobe, and two night stands. The staff seems to genuinely care for all the residents and work hard to create a homey atmosphere. The food is also very good -- not like hospital food. Mom still wants to \"go home\", but she wanted that when we cared for her in the house she lived in for 60 years.
