It is a clean environment, staff to patient ratio is above average, owner can sometimes be rude, few if any activities, but if you need a clean home with 3 meals plus a snack daily, acceptable staff to client ratio, low census, family style home, Able Plus is a 4/5. Able Plus Assisted Living was established in March 2016. It is owned and managed by a registered dietitian in partnership with a registered nurse with over 30 years of combined senior care experience in the state of Maryland.Our community is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in Silver Spring, MD. The community is a walking distance to a fire station, and minutes away from Glenmont metro station as well as Westfield Wheaton Mall.

Great communication
They stay in touch with you about any changes or needs your family member may have, take a photo to update you, talk to you when you visit, accommodate your visits, very clean and well organized.

Have been in Able Plus Assited living since November 2019. This facility is good, am happy and it's comfortable for me, they take care of my needs very nicly. I have good experience here. The facility is a place to be.
Here at Able Plus, Any time i have need to see the doctor they book my appointment and provide transportation to and fro the clinic. A caregiver will also accompany me to be of assistance in the presence of the doctor.
I came to this facility with a stage 4 wound. They really tried for me by sending me to the wound clinc once a week, Nurses came to dress the wound every other days of the week Including the caregivers. This made my wound to heal very fast am so impressed by my improvement.
They provide me with a Physical therapist and an Occupational therapist who also work with me 2 to 3 times a week according to my needs. This greatly improved my condition.
The caregivers were also trained to follow up on my therapy.
Here at Able Plus, we have 24 hour caregivers taking care of all the residents both night and day.
In all other facilities like Nursing homes, Rehabilitation center there is always a problem but this facility is not an exceptional and there is nothing they're unable to resolve to my pleasure and it all worked out very well.
I am a family person, i therefore recommend anybody who has a family that Able Plus is just the right place to come because the services they provide is very good, it's like another family member helping another family member.
The service rendered here is good, it's intimate and close in all respect.
The price for every residents differs from one to another depending on the care of plan of individual. For my condition the price is sensibly reasonable.
I strongly urge anybody who is interested in this kind of service, professional approach needs, intimate, Respect, Clean, home made and delicious meal are served here, this is a place for you.

A home, not just a facility
Two years ago, after coming to the heart-breaking realization that I could no longer keep my dad safe at home (his dementia required 24-hour supervision), I went searching for an assisted living facility where I could imagine him being happy. So many of the places I toured were downright depressing. So when I walked into Able Plus and saw the sunlight pouring in through the windows and the carefully furnished rooms, I felt like I could relax. Speaking with [name removed], the owner/manager, I could sense that this was a woman who really cared about her residents and wasn't just in it for the monthly check.
Dad passed away almost two years later, having been shown love and kindness from everyone who worked there. He joked with them, and they joked back. They made sure he had home-cooked meals every day and clean, homey surroundings. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they went above and beyond to keep the residents safe. And while I wasn't allowed to visit him (until close to the end of his life), they made sure I was able to visit via video chat. When he finally passed away, I felt comforted knowing he was not alone, as he considered them his family.
I highly recommend Able Plus Assisted Living to anyone looking for not just a facility but a home for their loved one.
