An option for memory care but with consideration
Overall the staff was friendly and welcoming with the exception of one aide. Their visiting policies were questionable, even for memory care. Only half-hour visits were allowed and you had to give notice. We began to wonder why notice was needed. Pop-in visits are always best for families to be reassured that the level of care is consistent and what it needs to be. Where my mom is now in memory care, we can visit whenever and for however long. Visiting should be encouraged. We were promised engaging activities. From what we could tell, Mom spent her days watching television with the small group of ladies in The facility and not much more. Nothing to challenge her. Very disappointing. [community removed] was a definite answer for us when we were in desperate need of care. It would depend on the level of care your loved one needs as to if this is a good fit. It was not for us for long-term but for short term it was a blessing.

Frequently Asked Questions
about Respite Services Of Texas

A Place for Mom has scored Respite Services Of Texas 3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
