Many days they are gone long before 5:00. We hear comments like \"that isn't my job\" or even a flat out refusal to help. It is becoming more and more that they only have the Chef in the kitchen and no servers. Most mornings, they are out of something. From plates and silverware to milk and bread and fruit. The portion sizes are shrinking to approximately a tablespoon instead of a cup. The owner had a meeting with the residents just last week and basically told us if they can't afford the increase January 1st, we could start looking elsewhere. Most of the residents are on fixed incomes and cannot afford to stay and cannot afford to move. Most are very upset and feel that they are not getting responses to their questions. There are no scheduled activities on the weekends. Flourish is a newer building and is comfortable surroundings, but without any experience with other facilities I don't know if I could recommend living here. I'm on the younger side and am fairly independent, so I get along pretty good but some of my neighbors that need more assistance are struggling. Our bus that takes us to the store has been broken down for 5 weeks.
