Best care around for your elderly family members
I have had three family members live here over the past 10 years. Family run business providing excellent care, and good food too! The owners are very nice people. I highly recommend this business to anyone who wants their loved one very well cared for, and to avoid a nursing home.

Family Home and Senior's Living is a residential care community located in the city of Clinton Township, Michigan in the county of Macomb. Residents at Family Home and Senior's Living have absolutely amazing access to activities and services. Just within a one mile radius there are two major malls, including the Lakeside Mall, which means that seniors always have convenient access to any and every type of shopping. In addition, there are a handful of parks in the area and the Middle Branch Clinton River is just two blocks away, where seniors can easily enjoy long walks on the shore or fishing if they like. Finally, since Clinton Township is a distant suburb of Detroit, seniors can take day trips into the city for an even wider range of services and activities, including an international airport, when they need them.

Best care around for your elderly family members

Great Environment! Great Food! People that Care! READ
I am a HHA with Henry Ford Hospice. I bounce from group home to group home all day providing direct patient care for my patients. I have seen some pretty bad places in my time working as an aide. BUT I assure you that THIS HOME is super clean and very on top of what they are doing. Residents are always up and watching TV together, probably eating a delicious home-cooked meal. There are so many, and I MEAN so many places that just don't care about the people, and honestly straight up just don't know what they are doing. THIS place has been around, and its very systematic. If you are searching for a place for a loved one to stay, I would honestly consider sending them here. A few other great places I go to are Rose Senior Living (for the rich, BUT OMG so nice) and Grace Premier Assisted Living & Memory Care. Both of these facilities have stuck out to me (but again these are full nursing care facilities), if you are looking for a family home setting, pick these people. TRUST me, its a safe bet that your family will receive exceptional care here. Another family home suggestion that is equivalent (great) is 4Gems Adult Foster Care. GOODLUCK! And I am here to advocate for your family member! Do your research people, some of these reviews are bogus and probably coming from a family member that does not cope well and cannot accept the reality of their current situation.

My Tour Was Very Strange
My tour of this home was an odd one. The owners of the home are a mom and her boyfriend. Her sons do all the work around the home. During the tour the family was acting a little strange. The home wasn't very clean. The home wasn't very presentable during the home. It was a very strange tour.

We moved my mother here on February 20th. Things seemed to be going well, but she ended up being hospitalized twice for several days and is now in a rehab facility. Therefore I do not think I am in a position to evaluate accurately.

A Place to consider for your parent
they are very clean. Home cooked meals. Family members are kept clean and cared for. If you can only visit in the evening your family member then you might have difficulty. They don't like people to come after 6:00 pm. No odor in place. They have a small friendly dog residents like. There are very little planned activities. They set up all therapy and it is done in the home which we found helpful. They also take care of ordering all supplies and medications also extremely helpful. I would recommend the place. It is far better then a nursing home with and every changing staff and large numbers of people to be cared for. It is a nice home environment.

Do not put your loved one in this family home setting
My mother was at this family home for one week. She was yelled at because they said she used the bathroom to often. She is 89 years old. She was prescribed ambien by a doctor without her consent. They did not tell her children that they put her on sleeping pills. We had no knowledge until we went to visit her and saw the prescription. Irene and Frank said she asked for sleeping pills. My mother has never used or been prescribed sleeping pills ever. They have a doctor come in and he prescribes what Irene and Frank tell him too. [removed] We took my mother out after a week. Frank refused to give us our money back. We are hiring a lawyer and contacting the authorities.

My mother was admitted to this facility only a week ago, but so far we are pleased. The place is squeaky clean. The bed is comfortable. The food is good. The view from the back is beautiful. The care appears to be excellent.
